Welcome to the fourm.

That is a NICE looking car. Do you have a list of mods? I like to know what it has.

Welcome ninedeep-

I was getting an RX-8, but have decided on getting an s2000 instead *scratches chin while looking at your s2k*

Was wondering what the specs are on it. Been on the lookout for nicely taken care of s's.

By the by, if you live in Clifton NJ, I live in Montclair, and my name is Ryan too :D

Welcome to the board, you should enjoy it, a lot of information here.

Talking Also tempted to s2000

I am also considering the s2000 the local honda dealer has dropped the price by $5000 big ones making the s2000 tempting .Tallguylehigh apart fromthe convertible aspect what else made you change you mind???.I SAW AN S2000 IN AN BRIGHT ORANGE ON THE UK HONDA SITE THE COLOUR LOOKS AWESOME .. .the s2200 hardtop coming out i am told will put out 188kw and 235nm but i dont seethe sense in getting a 2 door car that you cant take the roof off .i would be getting the hardtop on the s2000 ,i am told that honda has got plenty of these aroun dat halve the asking price.

I keep meaning to go drive an S2000 since it's looking like our next car after the 8 will be a roadster. I didn't even realize you could GET a hardtop with them until I saw yours! Pretty nice! Looks like you've had a lot of fun with it.

Lock & load-

There are a couple of factors that caused me to consider an s2000 as opposed to an RX-8.

1.) I put a lot of miles on my car now with commuting (15K+) and am not too comfortable putting that much mileage on a new car. So I figured, keep Old Faithful, the car I have now, and a used s2000 for weekends and fun

2.) Convertible. I have always wanted to own a convertible and now that I have the chance to own a great one I want to act on it.

3.) Reliability. As reliable as a NA rotary is, I doubt it can rival a Honda 4 cylinder in terms of refinment.

4.) Price. With rumors of the new engine for the s2000 surfacing, the resale value of an s2000 is dropping like a stone.

These were just some of the things I thought about when switching from an RX-8 to an s2000.

Cheers,
tallguy

Thumbs down resale values

Here in australia the s2000 was over priced to begin with at nearly $80,000 on road, and now tha the car has been around since 1999 other products are starting to rival it eg 350z our rx8 crossfire audi TT and others,so you guys are right resale values are dropping rapidly i think i can pick up a new car including a hard top for $69,000 on road ,however i am not prepared to commit until i have seen and test driven the rx8 for myself ,if iam not sufficiently impreesed i am going for the s2000,by then i may get it a little bit cheaper my only concer is only 2 seats ,i have owned 3 previous sports cars and 2 seats have their limitations .
