Derby Vermont...2008 Velocity Red GT. Spring can't come soon enough. In need of some new tires. I'm looking at getting some Continnental Extream Contact DW's or DWS's (even though I don't drive it in the winter). The DW's are hard to find right now so I may have to go with the DWS's. Does anyone have any other tire recommendations?

How do we contact your friend? I have a tranny upgrade with SR Motorsports clutch/pressure plate/accessories on tap and would be interested in talking to him about doing the work if he was interested.

I've had Goodrich G-Force KDW's, Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's, and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus XL along with the OEM pieces of garbage that came on my RX8 from the factory in 2003. From a pure performance standpoint the G-Force sneakers were the best, but only fractionally so over the Pilot Sports. For overall performance, wear, and daily drivability the Michelins have been great. Interestingly enough, the Blizzaks were really good too. I drove them hard over multiple years, even in the summer when I was trying to burn them to ground as an excuse to finally replace them and they just wouldn't die.

FYI, started a new thread about possibly having a meet up at the track. (NHMS) just let me know if any of you are interested

Stephen

PS: I picked up a 2005 Shinka that was for sale here on the forums so I can actually "fit-in" if any of you do plan a drive or event! OK that isn't the real reason I got it... It was so I could practice racing everyday that I drive... OK not that either, no racing on the street!

Hey I haven't been on the forum in AGES... Been busy with bike and schtuff... I am an original like SPIN9K... I have an 04' BB with 94k on it. Only sees summer and fall. Even less miles on it now that I also have an 05' 3 HB and a Yamaha r1.

From Claremont. Always up for a meet and I have put together a couple as well. I hosted and Adirondack run about 4 years ago...

Anyone that wants me to put a run together PM me.

I wish I could but I have to work that night... I so wish I didn't need a real job!! Have fun and if you need any help in the AM let me know. I am around until 11ish.

If you want to do video let me know, I could swing by with a camera, older Contour HD model.

Actually I have a Racing Technology DL1 that I wouldn't mind letting you borrow to gather some data to play with... I really don't know much about it but I would obviously share everything I learn with you. to be honest I wouldn't mind hanging with you to go over it some time that weekend.

Real job Stephen? Whats's that? Help is always welcome, esp. w/the inevitable confusion of the 1st of season event. Thanks for the equipment offer, but probably best to just come and enjoy the show as I have preinstalled a Traqmate setup w/tire temp sensors and dash display. Between runs/anytime later I'll be happy to show you some results/capabilities / how to I use/learn/improve w/them if you're interested. I've got years of data from tracks all over the NE saved on my notebook.

Gate opens ~7AM, registration is done at 7:45...I don't have the track time schedule yet, but your should be able to see a few sessions before you go.

Any idea if we can get in without the track fee of $25 if we are not BMWCC members?

Cabin Fever HPDE notes....

"9. Guests of members are welcome to spectate but will also be expected to sign in with BMWCCA registration and obtain a wristband."

I've never heard of any fee to get in. Just show up and sign in with me
