Anyone interested in nhis on 10/19/07, video of 9/22 event

My second track day ever. After 2 runs w/ instructor in the novice group. They let me run alone in the intermediate group. This car is so forgiving. Very predictable. And fast if you keep your momemtum up. I recomend running w/ scda1.com very good instructors. safe enviroment. any one care to join 10/19/07?

What's needed for a event like this.. in terms of cash and prep stuff? Never done something like this and after seeing the course on your video it doesnt seem that complicated where I'll be pushing myself the only thing unless its just the placement of the camera are a few blind over the hill corners.

I run hawk hp+ brake pads and ate super blue brake fluid because of my level of braking. But novices and first timers just put around the track pretty slow. You would also have an instructor riding with you. So a stock rx8 is fine. Just bring some top off oil and tire pressure gauge. In 100 track miles, I consumed 2 quarts of oil and a full tank of gas. thats 6 miles to the gallon. nhis is gonna run you 250, that gets you 4 25min track sessions and a couple hours classroom time. you'll need to bring a snell 95 or newer helmet.

Hey truth, how did you mount your camera? I'd love to do something similar.

RX8Maine, do a search. I got the idea on these forums. its just basically some aluminum stock mounted to roof of trunk coming out between the rear seat backs. Mounted a mini dv recorder using tripod mounting point of camera.
