has anyone seen a reaally loud black 8?

 

mines kinda loud lol where did you see this 8 at?

 

I have had my 8 since November 2003 and today (june 7) was the first time I actually saw two 8's on the road in the same day. Is it my imagination or are we still a select few???

 

The most I've seen in one day is 3, but two of them were parked behind the same building at CMU. Just confirms my opinion that the 8 has geek appeal.

Most days, it's 0 or 1. I see almost as many RX-7s out there, especially now that the weather has warmed up.

Anyone interested in having a meet up, Some where in Pittsburgh on the 9th of July?

I'm planning on talking to the guys at Total Image on Rt 60 in Robinson and seeing if they could provide any discount if we all show up their. They do have limited parking space but i believe that there is parking in the back.

Yeah, that would be good. Only problem for me is that I'm booked up for pretty much all the weekends this summer, unfortunately. However, I will be in town, so there's always the possibility I could fit in a quick trip to a meet. Post or PM me a time/date and I'll show up if I can.

Excuse my ignorance, but what kind of shop is Total Image? I'm assuming they do detailing, tint, etc.?

 

Not 100% sure what they all do. but i think its mainly exterior performance, sound systems ect... not real sure what they do performance wise...

I just wanted to say hey to the guy in the red 8 on Baum if you're on here, I was in the other red one next to the bus...

 

Im in the Penn-Township area (Irwin, Levelgreen, Greensburg, Monroeville). I have a sunlight silver with 19" Racing Hart CR rims (gunmetal w/ chrome lip), tinted windows, painted calipers (red). I plan to get a mazdaspeed kit for next summer, but shes going away for the winter soon. I go to Penn State Mckeesport. I see a few 8's in Irwin every once in awhile. I got mine at Hamilton.

 

Anyone in the vacinity of Washington up I79 North to Moon Township?

 

I live in the South Hills but take my car to the dealer in Moon.

 

Dealer in Moon a safe / best place to have all recalls and engine work done? I do not trust mechanics from all of the crap I have been through.

 

Moon Twp is some what suspect. I've taken my car there before and watched them stall it 3 times while moving it into the garage. I also believe that someone had some damage done to there car while being serviced there.

 

i sadly just sold my rx-8 but i had all of my service done at hamilton mazda in irwin on rt 30. i highly recomend them.

 

So I guess we've all pooed out on trying to get a meet together...

If you haven't already be sure to check out the auto show downtown at the convention center. I have my Formula Mazda Pro racecar in Mazda's display and I'll be there all week to answer questions and talk cars/racing with whoever passes by. They also have a MazdaSpeed 6 and some other new models on display.

 

I was there Sunday ... Nice cars Loved the Exotics, 2005 White Rx-8 and lots of trucks and suv's .. I have video of all the better cars so I may have a vid of your car on display

I am in Butler but was working down in Aspinwall as of last Friday.

 

I'm southeast of Pittsburgh in Scottdale, PA. Haven't had the 8 in the city yet so I doubt anyone has seen me around. Just bought my 8 about 3 weeks ago, and it's been garaged for 2 of those three.

Are there ever any meets or anything around the area?
