Autocross in Williamsport, PA 4-2-06
The Motorsports Association of Pennsylvania College of Technology is sponsoring the first SCCA autocross in the Williamsport area. In case you don't know, Williamsport is in North-Eastern PA (about 1 hr from Penn State / 1.5 hrs from Harrisburg) and is best known for the Little League World Series.
The event will be held on Sunday, April 2nd 2006. (I know that this is only 6 days away, but I had to wait to post until the event got final approval from the college.) The entrance fee is $25 and there will be concessions. I will post an event schedule and directions by tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.

It it's any consolation (albeit a small one), you are more than welcome to come out to Aberdeen, MD this Saturday. I looked it up for you, 357 mi (about 6 hours 56 mins). See my other thread, supposedly John V and clyde will make it.

Yeah, our event was originally scheduled for last weekend so it wouldn’t interfere with any other events in PA. It sucks that we have to compete with Aberdeen now. But at least the weather will be a little nicer!

The event was a great success. The weather was perfect, the course was challenging, and all but one participant was happy with the 6 runs they were allotted. We had a total of 53 registered drivers which I think is pretty good for a first time event. No RX-8's made a show, but there were about 6 Miata's. My 240SX was put in the BSP class, although I think I should have been DSP. It was fun none-the-less since this was my 1st auto-x excluding Zoom-Zoom Live.
