Calling all RX owner in CT
#51
^ Right right. This was not intended to be a replacement for some manner of cruise. This was mentioned a month ago to meet with some 8 owners in CT as some are in that area anyway. Quick and easy thing.
What you're speaking of is def sounds bigger and better and yes, may take some time to organize. I'm sure some of us will be able to help with logistics stuff.

I live in Enfield, but work in Manchester. Yesterday I test drove an RX-8 in anticipation of getting one when I can afford the downpayment. I checked out the blue RX that Morande Mazda in Manchester has out front. Wicked sweet ride. Anyone from CT know a good rotary mechanic in the Manchester/Enfield area, or will I pretty much be bringing it to the dealer for anything that crops up?

If you buy the blue RX-8 and it has any problems you should just bring it to the dealer unless they demonstrate that they're idiots then you should bring it to another dealer. I'm assuming it'll be under warranty, yes?
That said, let me know if you find a good rotary mechanic in CT I'd love to know who it is (not being sarcastic, I really would).

I saw a nice little yellow 8 take a left off I-84 exit 68 onto 195 in Tolland while on my way to UConn today (Friday ~3:00pm). vipertin maybe?
I think yellow looks best on the Lotus Elise and the RX-8. They have the right curves I guess.

Ah dinner at South. That was the best dinning hall while I was there. Don't know about now. Are you a student at UConn?

My silver's got the stock aero kit, fender strakes, clear corners, front muds and stock spoiler. It looks pretty clean and not too ricey I think.
Only performance mods so far are MS/AEM intake and RB sways.

I really meet the other RX8 -0- if you do live near my area just reply.

I live in Hamden. I have seen a couple of silvers but no BBs. When did you get it? Have you done anything to it? Congrats if it's new in anycase.
Another CT guy Mortal Moxie says he'll work out some manner of cruise at some point. Comming up with a day that a decent number of people will be able to make will be an effort. Any progress on that MM?

I don't have the money for all that ****, so I got clear corners and RX-8 caliper decals instead. I graduated in '02 (I was a grad student, so I'm not a yougin like you probably are), not that far apart. I hope we can get some sort of cruise together before winter destroys everything...
