Can YOU handle it!?
Hey errbody. I'm attempting to be the hype man over here @ www.rx8club.com for the Rx-8 BOTD this year. One thing I would really really like to see is more Virginians there. It really is an amazing amazing thing to go do. It's great for everyone of all ages (we had something like 15 year olds all the way up to DaveT year olds!!!)
Anyway, what I'm really trying to do is get more people over to THIS THREAD to get the list a little more populated.
If you don't know what BOTD is, don't worry, it's nothing you have to study or give your life away to, it's just an amazing weekend full of Rx-8 owners and the best drive of your life. Route 129 which rides the Tennessee & North Carolina border, in our cars, is a 20 minute roller coaster ride with amazing sites. It's 11 miles long and has 318 curves. It's insane. If you ever wanted to find out what your car is really capable of, this is the place to push it to the limit. You learn alot about your rex from other members, get all kinds of great ideas, meet new friends, eat great foods, and if you choose indulge in great "spirits" if you will. (make sure you bring a bunch with you, it's a dry county). Outside of the dragon, there is a car show, car wash, white water rafting, horseback riding, etc. etc. etc. all kinds of great things to do. It's like heaven tucked away in a little spot in North Carolina (that's a stretch, I know) Either way, I'd like to see more people to start thinking about coming, we are looking at Sept 5th-9th right now, so click the link in my sig and in this post, and start letting us know what cool people we can expect this year. Don't miss it due to poor planning!!!
