Central NJ weekly meets

Central NJ weekly meets
MTMA (Mazda Team Mid-Atlantic) is setting up regular weekly meets in central NJ (with ones in the Philly and NYC areas coming soon as well).
This week's meet will be held WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 20th @ 7:30 PM at BORDER'S BOOKS AND MUSIC on Rt. 18 N in EAST BRUNSWICK. In the coming weeks we will try out new locations before deciding on anything permanent.
These regular meets are going to be held at busy locations around central NJ (Middlesex, Monmouth, maybe Mercer counties), and are just an informal gathering of Mazda enthusiasts. I'm trying to get the MTMA name out there, so we can attract more members. Seeing as how the club was started from a group of members from www.msprotege.com, right now the majority of our members own Mazda Proteges and Mazda3's. We are looking to change that, as the club is open to all Mazda enthusiasts! I would love to have some RX-8's join us! We currently have approximately 30 members, and hope to increase that number very soon.
We will meet at 7:30pm in the parking lot, probably towards the back where there should be plenty of spaces available. Come on down and hang out, and meet the local MTMA members. Learn about the club, and join. Current members who are up to date with their dues and have not yet received their decals can pick them up at this time.
Directions from NJ Turnpike: Take exit 9 to Route 18 South. Continue below.
Directions from Route 1: Take Route 1 to Route 18 South. Continue below.
Directions from Route 9 (from the shore area): Take Route 9 North to Rt 18 North. Border's will be on your right hand side a couple of miles up Route 18.
Directions from Route 18 South: A couple miles down Route 18, you will see Border's Books on the left hand side. It's in the same shopping center as Best Buy and Boston Market. Take the jughandle to get into the parking lot.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Bummer - I read this thread too late. I'm over in Hillsborough, so it wouldn't have been too far for me. Maybe we could setup a inter-club meet between your club and ours - the RX-8 Tri-State Club.

Just how in the hell did I miss this thread? I'm in Colts Neck (Monmouth County), and I've been looking for a few tricked out 8's to see my next (to be decided) mod in person. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the CrystalGuard meet because....well, because I suck. Anyway, I'm still looking for a nearby get-together. Maybe I can convince PolaK to attend and bring me some caliper stencils.
BTW, frig, my g/f lives in Ocean Gate.

Sorry about not posting here last week.
The first meet was good, we had one member from this forum stop by with their blue 8. Was gorgeous...I love that color.
Anyways, this weeks meet is going to be a little different, we're meeting up Wed. night at the diner on Rt 1 South near Menlo Park Mall in Edison. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but will check it out and report back. We're just going to chat in the parking lot a bit about our cars, and then head in for some dinner/snacks.
Other meets will be set up, I want to get at least one more 'fun run' meet in before winter sets in. I will be sure to post details once dates are set.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Bad news guys, I'm not going to make it due to an emergency....I also wasn't able to make any posts with more details on any forums (including the MTMA forum) so I honestly doubt there will be a good turnout (or any turnout at all).
So we're going to postpone this until next week, I'd rather have a better meet next week than have one with only 3 people tonight.
Best way to find out information about our meets is to visit our forum (http://forum.mazdateam.org) in the 'Upcoming Meets' section.
I'll be sure to post info here as often as I can, especially for major meets (expect a large meet for the entire East Coast in late spring/early summer, last year we had 75 cars show up with only about a month and a half of planning, this year we're starting to plan NOW, so I expect double that amount at least). But for the latest info, it's best to simply go to the MTMA forum.
You can PM me with any questions.
