I voted Hilton, but anywhere is okay with me if the group will be staying together.

I know the Hilton is right on the main street and within walking distance to everything in Lake Placid.

I'm going to throw out a crazy idea and see what everyone thinks.

I live 15 minutes North of Saratoga (check the map) in the country on 100 acres of land with a house that was made for big parties. If the bulk of the group leaves from NH around 8 or 9am they should be rolling past my house (nearly past) around noon. What if I have a few grills set up in the back yard and have lunch waiting for the whole group? After all, man (and woman) can not live on rotary alone. Plus I would love a picture of 20+ rotary cars lined up in the back yard in front of the pond.

Positives are a free meal and a chance to stretch your legs. Negatives are a 20 minute detour and time not driving the car you are all addicted to.

Just a random thought on a snowy friday night, but I'm serious about the offer.

Oops, forgot which thread I was on. This belongs on the main thread, but I'm not sure how to move it (Noobie to forums).

Help!

And it has covered parking, which I am personally willing to pay the extra $20-40 for.

Voted. Selected $80 since it's a one nighter anyway. I'll need sleep and a shower - $80 is plenty for that. But it's not an issue for me, either way.

Lil Red copied you post Rx Eight 7s. Thanks for the offer.

I believe so, but I will double check. Group rates usually apply to 15 ppl or more, and it looks like we might be split down the middle.

We've only got 9 votes out of 30 ppl, though. We need everyone to vote to get a true picture and make sure we make the right decision here. Don your Uncle Sam hat and beard if you have to, but VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!
