Minty, give us some details of the ride.

Brian, Byers Imports. One of the Schoties bought it and it was sitting there for pick up. Who would have thought there was soo much money in discount clothing.

Gettin' together soon, anyone?

Hey Steven,

I'm about 99% sure that no-one we know (the regulars) have a turbo, let alone had it installed there. There is one guy, but he never comes on here, and not sure where he had it installed. Success07 did have some work done by rx7store and I'm sure he can chime in. Jason, the owner, bought an 8 to have a turbo developed, but I believe they gave up on the project.

I'd be interested to see the install. When are you coming in?

Check this thread....

(note: my servers down right now, so pics might not show up right away...they're working on it)

Just got her last week, and love it so far. Have a lot planned for it. Springs, Wheels, Clear Corners, and Tint will be going on within the next month. After that, exhaust...and maybe some more suspension work. Eventually I plan on going with an FI setup...maybe the one from Pettit.

I'm down for gettin' together. I post over on www.columbusracing.com too. There's groups of people meeting up quite often over there.

They're one of the sponsors over on www.columbusracing.com I personally haven't had any work done by them, yet. But plan to have them work on some things in the near future. I know they've done some work for some of the guys over on the board....I haven't heard anything bad.

well i am taking it up there this friday!
I know it will take a while so i will be leaving it there.
Jason said they have couple cars that they need to work on , so I took that in as a polite way of saying "its going to take a while" Which I dont mind cuzz I want it done right not fast!!

I know few people that have had their rx7s worked there and they talk really good about the rx7 store, which is why i contacted them to do the install.

anyhow
thanks guys!

ive been lazy about getting pictures off my camera, but got to head up to mid-ohio on friday. the scca was running an event and the ohio chapter of the ferrari club of america was there. i didnt drive, but did get to go for a hot session in the f-40 . it was our buddies and my dad was driving, so he was taking it easy (said he was only driving around 70%) but oh my ******* god. that car is so different from anything ive ever been in it was incredible. even at 70% he hit 140 on the back straight! for comparison, i could only get the 8 up to 110 and my dads 355 tops out around 135. flat out he probably would have hit 180 or so. i cant even begin to describe just how incredibly awesome the car was.

anyway, the speedsource guys were there with a 7 and 8. talked to them for a bit, the cars were nice. the 8 was actually pretty stock. the interior was ripped out and a cage put in, the exhaust was custom and they had a custom engine map, but it was the stock engine and only added 17hp. i think they said they were dynoing around 245, with stock brakes and whatnot. thing was pretty slick. he did mention that the transmission was pretty weak, and that it usually only gets them through a weekend so that explained some of my transmission issues (and hopefully will help save it in the future.) if you guys keep bugging me ill get the pics up!

That could be a good meeting place. Just curious but what other cars do you anticipate be there? American, JDM, Euro?

I am available that weekend regardless of what we do.

I think it will be a good mix. Probably a lot of American, good mix of JDM, and Euro. Maybe a few classics. Would be cool to maybe meet up somewhere, a cruise there together.
