Hung - Who are the pulls with? 3 pulls for five cars is a looong day. When I was at the RX8Store, I was there over three hours for 4 pulls. Granted, that included installing my exhaust but a long day none the less.
Tyler - As far as I know everything is still on for the 6/24/05 @ CCA. I'll check with folks that be and report back for sure.

It's funny that even after such long trip, I still feel the need to make a short trip around town just to drive the 8 some more. This car is so much fun
I work for the Comprehensive Cancer Center and my office is in Graves Hall on 10th Ave. -- we should grab lunch at Nick's someday.

Nice try with the "dust on my car" :D I actually gave her a nice wash and wax this morning since the whole front end and windshield were covered with dead bugs! I work over in Postle Hall on 12/Neil. I'm a prosthodontics resident. A beer over at Migs on Neil sounds like a good idea some time.

It was probably someone else. Success and I were at Columbus Car Audio around that time.
There was a very wide range of cars there. Of interest:
An SUV with 20K worth of audio equipment in it. Nice work, but come on....
A racing miata.
A nicely painted honda with very subtle red flames on a darker red body.
And some serious pimp-mobile rides. With air shocks and HUGE wheels. Most of them came in on 3 wheels.
One (monte carlo, i think) had 335/35 R24 Tires on it.
Anyway, pretty fun.

Dustin - It wasn't me, though I was there Friday around 545p looking at my friends Superformance Corba. He took me for a ride and if you've never been in a car that has 525 hp and 500 lb/ ft. torque - WOW!!!
That LY RX-8, if it's the one I've seen before, has chrome 18's on it with yellow painted brake calipers. Not a good looking combo at all in my opinion but then again it's just my opinion.
I thought more of you would show up Friday. It was a fun time and Tyler and I got to see quite a wide variety of vehicles. A 100k Civic for one. It was a mobile night club. A 330i with S500 look rear end for two as well as a 70 something Monte Carlo with 24's!! It was straight rediculous.
All in all, the evening took me back a few years and was a good time to hang out with friends and check out a couple cool rides.
Tyler, my #09 came off with no problems that night. I would assume yours came off as well? It was nice meeting you and your wife. I think that if you are going to keep it looking as elegant as possible, as she mentioned, than at least add the front and rear rotary accents. It's one of my favorite parts of the 8's look. Basically, it's why I haven't looked further into body kits because I don't want to lose the front and rear accents. The clear corners and strakes would be nice also but not necessary. Good luck.

Was great meeting you, too. We had a lot of fun. After that meet I'm definitely gonna put hydraulic shocks and 24" rims on my ride. :p
I already ordered my rotary accents from Mazdatrix. I'm still noodling over the strakes and clear corners. I'll probably get the stainless steel strakes from the guy in england. I need to find a pic of a Shinka with clear corners because I don't know if it will be an improvement on such a dark car.
We need to get a meet together somewhere (soon?) for all the columbus 8 drivers.

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that if any of you're looking for a radar detector, I'm selling my Escort Passport 8500 x50 (red). I still have the original case, box, accessories...even the receipt. It's only 3-4 months old. If anyone is interested, it's going for $230. PM me if you're interested or if you'd like to see it.

I was at Mazda Direct for an oil change today and I have to say, those guys really do a good job. They're quick, curteous, and knowledgable and the facility is clean. They also serviced the 8 for something not covered under the warranty and they didn't charge me a dime. They get two thumbs up for good service
