Check out the Mid-Ohio link. There's a surprise in there.
I'm working on another one, but it's a little far-fetched. We'll see...

I think the Esses are the way to go - nice and relaxed and arguably the best view of the track. Oh - and the beer cart comes around!
I'm pretty sure I have my wife talked into coming along this time. I'm pretty sure it would be her first race of any kind. Should be interesting.

By the way, my car is borked, so hopefully it'll be repaired by race day. My new wheels apparently weren't clear coated and have begun pitting BADLY...need to get them repaired/coated again, AND my car was struck by what I believe was a shingle on I-270 that got kicked up when some needlehead cut me off in his minivan Saturday night. It couldn't have struck just ONE body panel...Noooo...had to hit the nose, the driver's fender, the headlight, and the hood. I have a scratch about four feet long from the headlight all the way up towards the windshield. Dammit.

Keep an eye on the Mid-Ohio thread. Looks like this is heating up with an opportunity to make quite an exciting day! I hope to have more information I can post tomorrow and we can discuss Sunday.

Ok - I spoke with Marlon. He's a great guy who sets up many of these events (most recently at Lime Rock).
Anyway, he is planning quite the event with many opportunities for us to enjoy ourselves well beyond even my wildest expectations. Look for him to post something soon in the Mid-Ohio thread.
We will certainly discuss this Sunday, but this looks great!
Only 3 weeks to go!

Great to see everybody again, and welcome to the newest memeber, Will.
For those that were not able to make it today, we talked a bit about the Mid-Ohio trip. I will talk with Marlon this week and express our interest in having a post-race picnic and some parade laps. (You will need to put another speed in your car Anthony, as I think the limit for parade laps is 60.)
I'll post back when I get some more info.

It was great to meet everyone!
Ra let me know when you have some free time in your schedule. I would love the help with installing my MS side skirts.
Hopefully, we can get together a couple more times this summer!

Well, I'm hopeful that I can make Mid-Ohio. I should know by the end of the week.
In other news, I keep seeing a LY with moonroof - looks like a GT edition. Are there a few of those around the city, or does anyone know who that might be? I've seen it around Hamilton Road, James, and at Easton.

Check out the Mid-Ohio thread for ticket info.
Also, as I am in my summer mode, I am off Friday afternoons. I mentioned to Marlon to let me know if hee needs some help getting things ready on Friday the 20th to let me know. I could easily be convinced to take the whole day off and go up and watch practice and whatnot. Anybody else interested?

I think that LY is Anthony in incognito mode. He throws on heavy chrome wheels, and paints his caliper a few shades off yellow, to release the ricer in him. Admit it, Anthony! It all makes sense now!

Long time listener, first time caller...wait this isn't the radio, whoops...anyway just wondering if there is somewhere I should be looking for when there are local meets in the Columbus area? There doesn't seem to be any Dayton area poeple on here from what I've seen so far, though there are quite a few 8's around here. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.
Thanks

Yep...there's a stock yellow out here in the Pataskala-ish area too...with the appearance package. I've waved at them a few times, but they never wave back...wtf.
And V1...if you can't get some folks from Dayton together, you're always welcome to meet up with the Columbus folks. You might try starting your own thread in the MW forum for "Dayton 8 owners" and see if you get any bites. 'Course...there may already be a Dayton owners thread, so what do I know.

Don't think it was Anthony's, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't ricey. It did have the appearance package, though, and they did wave when I saw them at Easton. Then again I had my window down and waved out the window as I rode through the intersection in broad day light, so I must've been pretty hard to ignore.

Hi,
am thinking of getting some accent painting done. Anyone have a good paint shop to recommend. Please no collision shops, price seems to jump high on hourly every time I talk to one.
Take care,
Brian
