Thanks Brian. At this point my wife is still in the hospital, but we hope to break her out by Thursday.

Name the date at the end of the month and we'll try this again.

What's the problem with it? If it's just condensation in the light, you can take it off and clean it out yourself - about a 10 minute job.

Thanks Brian. While I had the wheel off to change my plugs, I pulled the pads to get a good look at them. Surprisingly, they have a lot of meat left on them. Maybe not so surprisingly, as I don't use much brake Looks like I'll get at least another year out of them.

Let's get together before the weather turns!

Awfully quiet around here! I had a thought as I was driving home last night and noticed how quickly the tress were turning around Marysville.

Is there any interest in making a run to the Hocking Hills in the near future. Maybe a Sunday afternoon thing to do little leaf peeping and explore some twisties. Just a thought. Any takers or other thoughts?

Kiss your warranty goodbye!

Congrats!

Just ordered coils & wires last night. I picked up a stumble along the way. I figure at 74,000 it's probably time.

I installed the coils & wires the other night - quite a difference! I'd like another 100HP, but what can you do?

Finishline Performance. 4 coils and a set of wires - all OEM ran me about $180.

detail shop

Anyone have any experiences with getting serious scratches fixed? My roommate decided to rake his motorcycle against the rear of my car so i have a number of pretty bad marks on the bumber/rim/whatever that rear part of the GT body kit is. Hes going to pay to get it fixed tho thankfully. But back to the original question, anyone have any shops they'd recommend in Columbus?

In other news, anyone on here live/work at osu? I see about 6 or so 8's on a pretty regular basis, couple more now that classes are back in.

congrats, toys are so expensive tho =/ I struggle daily with deciding to buy some new parts or just put the money towards paying the car off. So far logic is winning but its hard.

Thanks for all the welcomes!! As far the toys go I out-right own my car so it makes it easier to make decisions on what to spend my money on. Today I've already gotten new tires, ordered new brake pads and drilled rotors. I also got an aftermarket security system/remote start and much more to come. My budget so far is 5K.

Congrats mike...$5k will go pretty fast, but you should be able to make some good improvements to your ride with that amount. My advice is to remember that "Lighter" is best way to get faster on this platform especially with the unsprung weight (unless you want to go with a turbo kit, but that is some serious cash), so keep that in mind when you start buying your toys. Lots of options out there. BTW...Avoid buying stuff from Vivid Racing in AZ -- those guys almost drove me crazy last spring when I built my 8....very very undependable!

Hope to see your ride sometime soon. Have fun!!!

Need help (Spring Install)

Hey all - I have so much respect for the owners on this site, but rarely say a word. Even though it isn't a huge job, I need help finding a good place or person to install new springs for my car in the Ohio area. I live in Columbus but can travel on recommendation. Any and all help will be truly appreciated. I see the occasional 8s rolling by, stock and modified and know that someone here can help. I live in the German Village. Thanks.

tire time is coming soon

haven't posted in a whole but i wanted to let you guys know i just ran through my second set of potenzas - after only 32 thousands miles, and i bought a set of hankook ventus v12 evos from tire rack. after 1k miles, i have to say i love these tires. they perform really well in dry and wet conditions and are tons more quiet than the potenzas. plus a cool tread design.

but now i need to think about buying winter tires. what have you guys had luck with? i am not buying a beater.

I put some 17" Blizzak WS-50s on and will run them through their 3rd winter before I toss them. These are full-on snows and do very well in the snow. When it's dry, these things are very squirmy. When I buy new ones next year, I will go with a little more "perfomance" oriented snows - maybe something like the Dunlop SP Winter Sport.

The 17 inchers are significantly cheaper than the 18" summer rubber.

I just had my first experience with Byers. The service department seemed not too bad at all they installed some stuff for free for me that I bought at the parts department, nothing too big of a job though maybe 30 mins of work. I also ordered an A-pillar cover from parts, they seemed kind of slow back there. But overall I liked what I saw, much better than when I was taking my Ford to Ricart for service.
