Thanks for your help so far guys...much appreciated.

I'm from harrison west, right next to Victorian Village/Short North.

I've seen a few RX8s out there and makes me only fall in love with mine even more. Love this car; thinking about getting a newer one eventually.

So, apparently finding 17" wheels with a 5 bolt-114.3mm is impossible to find without putting in what kind of car im drive. and when i do that, all the sites will not let me go any smaller than 18". anyone know of a site or even a place in columbus that you like to purchase some 17" wheels?

i'm the first to say that i have no clue what im doing. i've grown up and only driven gm trucks all my life. i was the first to buy a japanese sports car so I'm a little lost with it so far.

does anyone ever meet up and shoot the breeze about rx8s in columbus? like i've said i have an 04 blue 6-speed...absolutly everything is stock; nothing has been customized.

Was that your 8 parked in front of Brenen's on Neil a lot over the summer? I saw a blue one there quite often for a while.

So does anyone get together to cruise around? Winter is approaching and I think it'd be cool to get a few RX8s together before the the snow hits to go cruise around somewhere, hocking hills?

If there's a group let me know. It'd be really cool if one of you guys have a garage I could use. I live in a damn apartment complex and don't have a garage to work on my car when I want to.

My next project I want to tackle is to take off all the tags, sand em' down, and put on a few coats of black spray paint, glossy, and top it off with a clear cloat. Kinda hard to do all that in a freggin parking lot.

(sorry if it's against the rules to post two posts in a row)

Hey guys,

I need to sell my Racing Beat exhaust and rx8store hi-flo cat THIS WEEK. At best there is ONLY 8k miles on both of them which were purchased from Jason at the rx8store in '07.

They are both still on the car so we would need to meet at the rx8store in Hilliard to swap out the two. I will put my oem cat and oem exhaust on after.

Asking $600 for both

Tips are perfect and shiney like new.

email me at acottone4@gmail.com

Not sure, i think he lives next to my work building. Theres a TiGray that parks on 8th all the time too. However, I dont think either of them use this forum unfortunately.

I actually see a fairly high number of 8s around campus since I drive around so much, yet I never seem to see the people who actually use this forum, go figure. I did finally see both mike and csgordon's cars tho.

Hey guys, I bought some new additions that I would like to install RB dual res midpipe, Revi intake, and s tech springs. I think that I will be able to get the midpipe and intake on my self but was wondering if anyone had recommendations on where to get the springs installed because that looks a little more difficult. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks

so my mom backed over my car a few weekends ago and insurance is taking care of it, in the process of the repair my front bumper is getting replaced and i asked if i could pay the difference of the stock bumper for the mazdaspeed bumper... i went in and asked the appraiser at the shop and he called local mazda dealership... byers mazda/subaru on billingsly road...

the parts guy at mazda said he had never heard of a mazdaspeed front bumper and my insurance only lets me get genuine parts so im stuck with the stock bumper again... how could a mazda parts salesman never hear about a mazdaspeed front bumper? i was livid

Hey, everybody. Just joined the club. Picked up a 2007 GT - black with red & black leather interior. I'm coming from a Miata and my wife has an MPV so I'm quite familiar with Mazdas. :D I look forward to learning more about my 8, though. I've already done one mod (hardwired V1) and am about to install my XCarLink iPod adapter.

I finally bought and installed the ipod adapter about a month ago, very happy with it. Used http://www.whatsmyip.org/ipodrx8/4.php as a guide, worked pretty well. Pay attention to the part that says "its a single, lone bolt. Also, don't drop it, or it may fall behind the rug, and you might never see it again." I managed to not drop the bolt, but I didn't have the proper ratchet extension, and now there's a 10mm socket somewhere in my car Im probably never getting back.

Also, I ran mine into the front cupholders and had enough slack so that I can maneuver it as needed to still use the cupholders if I have to, works well for me.

Yeah, my Miata had that same damn bolt. What a PITA that was. Fortunately, I have two extensions so it worked out okay for me.

I ended up just running the cable out on the passneger's side between the center console and the floor carpeting. I bought a Kensington Power Port iPod/iPhone holder at Microcenter, which plugs into the cigarette lighter.

Makes adjusting the A/C temp a bit difficult but it's not that bad really. Especially for $30.

I doubt he does, that was almost 2 months ago. I almost bought it myself but couldn't bring myself to part with the money at the time with an uncertain job situation.

Either way though you should email him since I don't think he really checks here.

lol, yea I almost didn't put the bolt back in, didn't really seem that necessary. Maybe an anti-theft type thing? I do wish I would've dropped the bolt and not the socket =/

Like JGR said - doing springs yourself isn't terribly difficult. If you're in any way competent with tools, you should be able to do it yourself. I installed springs on my old Miata with no problems.

I use a guy in Marion for my body work and painting. He does an amazing job and he's relatively inexpensive. If you want his name and number let me know.

So, I've never had a personalized license plate before. I tried to get ZMZMZM for my previous car, a 2008 Miata, but it was already taken (probably by one of you SOBs ). Anyways, I obviously wanted to do a play on the old Zoom Zoom Zoom jingle for Mazda when it just came to me. I should note that I took Latin in high school so that played a small role in it too....

Seize the zoom!
