Ok guy's I'm trying to get another little get together before the season gets too cold. We have had a few mini meets before and had some good turn outs. The location is at the BK on High Ridge Rd in Stamford. It's very easy to get to as it is off of exit 35 of the Meritt Parkway. It starts at 8:00pm and will go to around 10:00pm. Come one and all, bring a fellow rotarhead!!!!!!!

i'll be the broken record for these mini meets. head north and you'll find a few more people will join. also, weekends are much easier to attend than friday nights.

 

You can be a broken record, but no one else is making any meets. Next year CTRA wil be having at least one meet up in the Hartford area. We had 2 meets up in Bridgeport and one in Danbury this year.

it was just a suggestion - no need to get defensive. the reason that no one has gotten one together up north is that no one likes to organize them but people like to attend. danbury might be further north but i guess i mean further northeast. just look at the quick turnout for the carwash that is being put together by j67345. people want to attend some meets but stamford on a friday night will tend to be a low turnout.

 

^^ WELL first you have to have a following, and once ppl see that ppl actually attend these mini meets then they will become more interested in attending, and make suggestions on new locations. Once ppl see that we keep our word about the meets, they will follow where ever we go. No point in doing a meet by you if we dont know that more ppl besides you will attend. Stamford area/norwalk has grown pretty good this year, not everyone can make it but its becoming a big thing.

by the time i get home from the city it will be 730pm then i gotta run and get ready to head back downtown to hit up the BK.

same way we can head north you guys can head south and meet us, once we know you guys will travel to our location, we will be more than HAPPY to go north and link up with other fellow rotards

We are using a system that has worked for NYRA. We started out in queens NYC, holding small meets, then it got BIG, once ppl saw how queens was shaping up, the neighbors in Nassau started comiing out of the wood work. So then we did 2 meets one in Queens and one in LI, then the lower upstate guys started popping out then we moved to Bear mtn etc.

Now our rochester (western chapter) blew up like crazy, and our albany chapter didnt grow as much. But for next year we will do an albany meet to have a centralized location for teh far upstate NYers and the lower Nyers to link up.

So like i said, we need to see other rotary guys come out to make a trip worth wild. ANd this year the club grew a lot from the previous year, and more ppl came out to the lil meets and the offical CTRA meets. So come join us, and next year we will be moving more north and into central CT to get more ppl that know how our organization gets down.
