Ct rotor heads?
#53
mazda at milford has a ton!
I must say...the rx-8 with the aero package is pretty sweet!
Would any of you be up for a rotary meet soon? The tristate rx7 mailing list has been kicking around the idea of one last summer meet..are you guys game? We have met at several spots in CT. But the more recent locals have been hooters in milford or the hooters on the Berlin turnpike. We did milford a couple of months ago so i was thinking of doing berlin turnpike hooters this time.
Let me know if there is interest and i will post something up on the rx7forum and the rx7 mailing list.

Well I know it's been a while since someone posted in here but I'm new to the forums. So hello to all you CT Rotor Heads!
I picked up my RX8 from Colonial Mazda in Danbury, Connecticut about 3 weeks ago. It was the Titanium Gray one with Black and Red Leather interior in the show room.
Imagine my shock when she wouldn't start yesterday morning! Now I get to tryout the Roadside Assistance program and have it towed to the dealer for repairs!
Any other CT RX8 owners still around?

Hey Wak.
It's been awhile since I visited this forum, but I just happend to drop by today. On Friday I took my 8 to the dealer - Dworkin in Derby - for the recalls, plus it was time for an oil change, plus I spent my card on an MP3 player. The player didn't work so they had to order a new one, and they put it in tomorrow. Anyway, I'm getting tired of driving all the way to Derby. I'll take it to Colonial when it's time for my next oil change. How do you like them?
I sure do want to see another 8 on the road. Keep your eyes out for a black/black (or at least it will be after I wash it next weekend).

Hey Eskimo,
The sales guy I worked with at Colonial, Jack Donovan and the Sales Manager, David Adam were great! I used to take my Exclipse there for service all the time because the Service Manager and Lead Mitsubishi Technician were the best. But they both left and went to Prestige Toyota in Kingston, NY. The jury is still out on their new Service Manager, Steve Edmond. My initial experience with him about a year ago wasn't pleasant and I refuse to bring my Eclipse back to him since. But they supposedly have new Mazda Technician, Phil Robbins who's supposed to be a really good guy, so we'll see how I make out. I'll definitely let you know!
Are you planning on going to the Mazda event up in Massachusetts? I think it's next month.

Wak,
Thanks for the pointers on Colonial. I'll definitley take it there for my next oil change. Not easy to mess that up, and I can talk to them while I'm there. Did you get your starting problem fixed? Was it flooded?
I got my MP3 player installed and I love it. I guess it was just a fluke the first one was a lemon out of the box. Not much they can do about that. They were nice though. I took it in that morning, they found a loaner for me, but by the time I got to work, they had it fixed. I picked it up at lunch, and they'd washed it.
Are you talking about the Rev it up event in MA? I do like the idea of getting some professional instruction. I'll give it a shot.

Garaged for the Winter
Kahren,
I agree, more meets would be great. However it'll have to wait until the spring. I put the RX8 away for the winter. We should try to plan something for say the first weekend in Spring. Any ideas?
Later,
Wak

if you guys want people to come for spring, gotta act now, its takes most peopel quite a while to prepare so if you want a good turnout we gotta decide where and when now.
there are always people from mass that come down, springfield is only about 20 mins from hartfrord.
