for you all getting the tint, i just saw another thread in the discussion forum that made me want to clarify. i paid cash so he didn't make me pay tax on it but i still have the lifetime warranty and have the receipt stamped that says i still do. i didn't want anyone worried by the other thread in which it seems if they paid cash they didn't get the warranty.

i'm going to try to meet up with you guys at noon tomorrow just in case anyone is still undecided on how dark to go. this would give you guys a chance to sit in it and see just how it feels on the 8. of course i threw out my back this evening but hopefully i'll be okay by tomorrow. i still have a couple years before 30 and i feel like i'm a 70 year old man.

as a matter of fact i do.

70 bridgeport ave
milford, ct 06460

i believe everyone will be coming from the north so if you grab I-95 south and get off at exit 34, the exit dumps you off at Route 1 at the end of the ramp. you'll make a right and you'll go through two quick lights and then Route 1 goes from two lanes both directions to one lane each direction for a very short period so you'll want to stay in your right lane. once you pass that light where it goes to one lane (the light cross street is naugatuck ave) it will be on your right fairly soon.

the shop sits on Route 1 between colonial and riverside drive so you can take a right at either one and up into the parking lot. there is an emissions and hub cap shop next door so you'll see a bunch of cheesy hub caps hanging in that window. try to refrain from buying some plastic spinners to throw on your 8.

Bummer, you don't think some nice 20" plastic spinners would look good?

guys (and gal)--

i am sooo sorry for what happened this weekend. i don't know how things turned out but last i heard it was not going well and looked like it was going to be well into the evening before he finished up. if i would have known he was going to flake out like that i never would have recommended him but he had been recommended to me and did a good job with mine. let me know if you guys even ended up going through with it since i heard fitz was going to cut loose and can't blame her one bit.

I think Greg does great work - the fact that he pulled the tint off because it was not perfect meant alot to me, I would be more pissed that it was on and looked like crap. If it were up to me, I'd have Greg ONLY do my tint but now I've been handed a serving of crow from Paul so I have to let him prove me wrong again...

Dude, that guy flaking out wasn't your fault! It sounds like he did exactly what he was supposed to when you had your done the week prior! So no need to apologize!
Man, I didn’t get out of there until after 9:30pm!!! He did an excellent job on your car, but mine still has some bubbles, and there were a few of those little finger things on the bottom….I don’t think those are going to go away though. He showed me how to supposedly get rid of them, but it didn't work….so it looks great from a little bit back, but if you get close and look at the details…it's not as good at Art's. But I don’t want to drive across the state again to have him re-do it/fix it….so I will probably just live with it. It's not bad at all, but not perfect by any means. Heck, I'd think that for a 9.5 hour tint job, that thing would be PERFECT!!
I did want to thank Pete and his roommate, Josh for dragging me around all day though! Too bad we weren't hanging out under different circumstances…without all that other crap going on! I appreciate it though! If you're at Limerock, definitely give me a call…I'll be there the whole weekend.
Pete & Lisa, you'll have to let me know where you decide to go to get your tint done, and how it goes! That guy at this place was a clown! Plus, it probably didn't help that he was probably hammered….with an alcohol stink coming from him frm the time we first saw him….to the time I left in the middle of the night!
What a weird day though!!

as for those fingers and bubbles, don't worry about them. mine had them for the first few days as well but as it dried, they went away. i didn't think they would either but i looked around at all edges and everything is smooth right now.

Bah, its not your fault. It does look like he can do a good job and I found some good things said of him on an S2000 site and another car site as well.

His behavior on Saturday was troubling. I couldn't get a straight answer out of him during the afternoon. He finally decided on being done (with the first car) by 5:30pm. We arrived around 6:00pm and it looked as if he had just begun Josh's & Lisa's car. Then stories of a power outage arose even though no mention of one was made when I spoke to him a couple of hours earlier and the power wasn't out when Lisa was there around 4pm.

As I said it seems he can do a good job but I just don't know if it is worth trying to navigate through his issues. I'm going to be busy as hell for the next couple of weeks so I'm just going to hold off entirely (not getting tint from anybody) for a few weeks.

It was good to meet you guys though.

No trouble at all. I'll be there on Sunday and Monday.

I gave my car a good wash yesterday, and looked for any scratches or dings...after watching them attempt to get your car in the garage, but there weren't any! thank goodness!!

He told me not to say how much, but I did definitely pay less than the agreed group price...
