Well, it turned out to be a great day... Hot, but no rain.....
There's an old saying.... "Never bring a knife to a gun fight...." In my case, "never bring a spork to a gun fight...."
Running crappy street tires and a flat ignition does not make for a fast car.... LOL
Renesisking did a great job and I'm not ashamed to say that he posted better times then me.....
At the end of the event we switched cars..... That was an interesting run! It's amazing how a set of sticky tires can make a difference!
You guys missed a good day, 3 RX-8's held their own, we were only about 3 to 4 seconds off the $50K plus race cars!

I found this on eBay....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Is it a good price? It has everything I need, right?
I'd prefer to buy the kit on eBay so I can use my Pay Pal charge card.... How broke is that?
Also, how hard is it to swap all this out and is there any gotcha's or tuning I need to know about?
I am also looking to buy some front rotor's and pads (all the way around) but since my ex-wife has all my tools (except for a couple crappy ones) I'll need someone's help to replace the brakes and a place to do it at... I'll provide the liquid refreshments (if you're old enough)....
Thanks,
The F.O.G.

All I can say is WOW!!!

The performance difference, especially on the high end is remarkable! It seems to have more power now then when I bought it 20K miles ago.
The plugs were pretty brown with some black on all 4. the rear lower had some corrosion on the tip. It makes me think that the plug wire wasn't secured.
Now all I need are some rotors and pads all the way around, not to mention a new vacuum fitting and she will be as good as new.
I've decided the reason men name their cars, boats, planes, etc. after a women is for one reason only. It's not for the love of the vehicle but because just like a women, every time you turn around it's costing you money!!!!

I actually missed this update but glad to see you got your new coils installed. I also took this weekend to install my BHR kit b/c I was getting some power loss down low. I know what you mean about knuckle busting and cuts. I thought it would be easier but I have a feeling I went the hard route since I'm not so mechanically inclined.
The good news is that they are in and I took it for a quick 20 min spin and the power seems to be back. We'll see if that was all it was after a few more trips to and from work and a trip down to NJ this week.

Yea 4 guys including myself, we went to Unos and had some drinks and food. It wasn't bad once we got there, it just drizzled. Which day did you want to go AutoX?? Now I'm thinking of doing both days.
