hello
got back from englishtown raceway today after horrible weather we had sat night/sunday morning but the show must go on.got there around 11am and the track was being dried.met alot of cool rotor heads(not one was a rx8 owner)
i also wasnt put in the mazda class or rx7 section was put into super cars section where the cars were top notch.but i wasnt expecting to win anything, im fairly stock with wheels,dropped.
the highlight of the day was watching abel ibarra run in his 3 rotor k&n mazda rx8.what amazement it was to watch his car rocket down the 1320 with a 1/4 time of 6.8
the crowd went nuts i felt a chill watching the car run.my girl had the same rush i did(she luvs rotary powered cars) wonder where she gets it from.sorry i dont have pixs of the car staging and blasting down the track i left the cam in car.but got some pixs of some cars that looked nice and of course of abel and his rotary powered monster

...Kel!! Thanks for posting them. Wondering, why would they stick you in a class were many (if not all) the cars were running engine mods as well as body and suspension mods? I mean, it's nice that they think so highly of the 8...but those modded Supras must have been beasts next to a stock 8.
