Feb 26 MSCW Karting Event, Sterling VA
Karting Feb. 26. AllsportsGP
An MSCW event open to all Mazda lovers, club member or not!
Shake off that cabin fever and join the MSCW on Saturday, February 26 for go-kart racing at Allsports Grand Prix in Sterling, VA!
Allsports is an indoor kart racing facility featuring 4.5 HP racing karts and an exciting mix of fast and slow turns. Alsports also feature electronic timing equipment that provides print-outs of your race performance including lap times and average speeds. More details, and directions can be found at www.allsportsgp.com .
We will meet at allsport at 2:30 and begin racing at 3:00. Depending on the number of participants, the event could go as late as 5:00. When we arrive at Allsport we will be issued racing suits and given a pre-race chalk-talk. We will be running a sprint-heat format, where every racer runs 5 races, with points awarded based on your finishing position. At the end of all the races, points are tallied, and a winner is crowned.
Allsports provides helmets and gloves that are required during racing. If you have your own helmet and gloves, we recommend bringing those. The gloves Allsports has are just cotton work gloves, and it is often hard to find a good fit, so anything you have will be better. Helmets can be automobile or motorcycle helmets, so long as they include full-face and eye protection.
The price is $75 per person, so you're getting 5 races for the price of 3! This event is open to members and non-members alike, so bring a friend.
We'd like you to register in advance, so 12 members from those who pre-register will receive $10 off, courtesy of the club. We will draw 12 names from among the pre-registered members the day of the event.
To register, email bikeguy@cavtel.net and I'll send you the address to mail the check to. Mention you heard about the event on the RX-8 Club Forum.
Hope to see you there!

Click on the link for allsportsgp above and look at the bottom of their page for "Driving Directions".
I'm thinking you should have gotten an RX-8 with the Navigation package. You'd probably have it paid for by now in gas savings from NOT getting lost.
