I took my plate off today because it looks much better without it. At 54 dollars i will take my chances. I am getting tint in a couple of weeks. Where i live the cops dont care much about traffic violations. my explorer was tinted and i drove past a cop doing 50 in a 25. On the off chance i do get pulled over i want to know to expect

I ran 7 months without the plate before I got pulled over for it. I talked my way out of the ticket (since I put the plate on the dashboard). But, it was in my town, and they can be sticklers - so I reluctantly put the plate back on.

I live in Jersey I’ve gotten stopped twice for it once let off and once given a ticket for $47.00 dollars, no points.
The story i tell them is when i was screwing back on the front license plate holder bracket thing, i over tightened the screw and broke the back of the bracket. Then i tell them it costs 169bucks new from Mazda they usually understand.
Also since i look like i do and a drive an Rx-8 i figure they have to stop me for something I’d rather it be my front plate then speeding. 187 and according to that at around 13.7 your right where you want to be to make max power under WOT.

if your not 1st your last
that reminds me
i have to run to the garage to put the plate back on after the PA meet
funny thing is me and another 8 owner today were discussing this at my house.
im not gonna chance it anymore till i get the mazdaspeed bumper then they can tack on the tickers.

I'm probably going to take mine off now too. I've got those law enforcement fund plates that NJ has availible (best $50 investment you can make, and the money goes to a good cause). They got me out of a speeding ticket already (25 over in a 50), I figure they should work for "having my front plate ripped off by vandals".. especially since I'll keep the plate in the truck if they want to see it...
