Got to see 2 new 8's today in Delaware
After seeing that RX-8's were arriving, I decided to log into my local dealer www.nucar.com and see if they had any in inventory. To my surprise they listed 5 of them so I had to leave work early to see one. Well they only had 2 (both sold) in the showroom. Couldn't drive or get in either but it sure looks nice in silver. The other was green but it looks like the 3rd Gen Montego Blue. Have to say the car proportions do look much better in person.
Well I just had to stare for awhile, get an RX-8 brochure (very nice BTW), and sulk away. At $30k, I think I'll just have to settle for some new R compound tires and a new paint job for the RX-7 to make me feel better. I do like the car but a little too pricey for me now. I think I'll see how they hold up (1st year 3rd gen RX-7's had tons of TSB's) and buy one used. I'd have to give up my paid off '93 to get one. Problem is that I'd want both. Maybe I can convince the wife to get it as a 'family' car (just had our first baby in June).
Nice car, I'll have to honk at you guys when you drive by me:D
