Great Bodyshop Experience in New Jersey with List
Judging by the title of this post, you may be wondering how can any bodyshop experience be considered "great" since no one likes to bring his or her beloved Rx8s to the bodyshop in the first place. Therefore, I like to share my recent dealing with some of the most frequently recommended body shops in north/central NJ:
Pascack Auto Body Inc
36 Orchard St
Hillsdale, NJ
(201)664-2276
Creative Auto Body
409 E. 1st Ave
Roselle, NJ
(908)298-8090
Bill's Auto Body
45 Bergen Blvd
Fairview, NJ
(201)941-3930
Based on the damage exhibited in the attached photos, I visited all three places and obtained price quotes. Please note that actual shop visit should be considered a MUST whenever you are parting the car for frame/body repairs. During the visit, you will get to observe the expertise of shop owner, the cleanliness of the operation, and marquees/clienteles found on the premise. Once you complete the research, pay attention to what I consider the single factor that ultimately decides on the outcome of the job -- vibe you get from talking to the shop proprietor in person.
Without sounding longwinded, I eventually went with Pascack Auto Body, which was the farthest and most inconvenient shop due to their 8-5 M-F hour. Why? I trusted it the most and sincerely felt that the owner would do whatever it took to make sure the job was done right. Obviously, this was also the same shop that favored un-intrusive and paintless repair on a series of dents found along my passenger door/rear quarter panels. Keep in mind that those dents were hardly noticeable as quoted by my friends who all thought that I was insane for fixing them up.
Long and short: Gregg, the owner, really took care of my “RENESIS” and me all in all. He accommodated everything I did not and did ask for by meeting with me on a Saturday to put the final touch on the car and re-scheduling my initial appointment after NJ was dumped by deep snow, respectively. As for the outcome of the job, he and the crews did an A+ in my book.
Please take this shop into your consideration coming from an extremely satisfied and blessed Rx8 owner. Tell Gregg, owner, that Steve the gray Rx8 guy who REALLY looked him up on the Internet sent you
