Great shop in Southern NJ.

Well guys, this is just FYI if you need a real rotary engine expert to do mods and whatnot if you're dealer won't play ball with you. The shop is located in Blackwood, NJ. It's called JPR Imports. If you need anything done talk to Jim. The number there is 856-227-1808. Really good guy, and very knowledgable. Excellent prices too. Only charged me $250 to put in my lightweight fly. I hope this helps those of you looking for a mechanic other than the dealer to do any mods you might need done. Enjoy.

Jim has been around for a long time.... I will be there today while you are there working on his drag car. He mentioned your 8 coming in for the flywheel today.

the yellow/greenish one is a guy named Jeff.

Never used them, but when I come across info like this I like to keep it on file because 100,000 miles from now I might need to know a local rotary guy. http://acostamotorsports.com/ is another Jersey based shop with Rotary experience.

Very interesting considering that my RX-8 was the first that he actually worked on aside from oil changes. Nice to know there are liars out there willing to try to ruin some shop owners reputation for the hell of it.

nah... from the looks of it, he was asking for the address for Jim, and was saying these things about the other shop that was mentioned with rotary experience up north. thats my take on it anyway.
nice meeting you today BTW. Beautiful car.

Oil Change done by JPR. In fact, I think I was the first 8 he worked on. Will be going back when I need to.

Well, like I said.. it's dirt swept under the carpet. I'm sorry to hear that your car was jacked up by that one shop. Guess we both need to eat some humble pie and think before we talk

Talking JPR Imports Web address

:D JPR Imports in South Jersey, their web site is at www.jprimports.com and www.jprimports.s5.com

They are the only shop I will ever use. Only place that really knows what they're doing.

JPR has put out a turbo 20b FD. I've spoken to Jim a while back when I first got my car. He told me he could do a 20b N/A or even a Renesis in my FD. Considering Jim dailys an 8, I'm sure he has the knowledge to do a 20b conversion.

Thanks so much! By the way, do you know how much money Jim would take for a 20b N/A conversion for a rx-8? And, will the 20b even pass the NJ smog test?
