Thumbs down have a very important question about tickets..

I have an 8, and I live in New Jersey, but i went to Delaware to see a friend. As i was going to the Delaware Memorial Bridge a cop pulled me over. She said she clocked me doing 86MPH in a 50MPH.... so pissed, and yes to save anyone the trouble i know it was my fault ..... Does anyone know, if Delaware speeding points carry over to New Jersey drivers? if anyone can help me i would appreciate it so much. thanks...

YES, it is not fast but the DE ticket will find you.

That sucks! The bridge police down there love to write tickets. In fact, I-95 from about there down halfway into MD is notorious for speed traps. With the laser radar guns they have, your detector won't save you either...no fun!

My past experience in PA is that if I challenge the ticket and show up in court the judge has ordered that I pay the fine but waives the points. Don't know how DE is but it might be worth the try.

In NY, if we get tickets outside of NY they do not carry over and dont go on our record. Its really sweet! So you just have to pay the massive fine!

It is very hard to fight a speeding ticket in Delaware. They will be on your jersey license but they show up as insurance points, same thing as penn tickets. If however you dont pay it, the warrant will show up in jersey out of Del.

exactly I know because my brother was in a similiar situation, except he was going excess of 100mph when they clocked him. So your fine, Just get some money together and pay the fine.

Only two points will carry from DE. I got a speeding ticket on 80 for doing 77 in a 65 and two points carried to my license. finally got them off, however I suggest you go to court and try to fight it. You can say that you were going with the parallell flow of traffic or you can really **** off the cop by making her bring in her documentation to challenge whether or not she can prove that she knows how to use a radar. Its 3 certificates that every cop needs to have in order to be compinent with the radar.
