HELP - Need Autobody Repair Shop in NoVa
I need some fast info to get my car repaired. Arlington Mazda service recommended the Volvo Body Shop at Fairfax Circle. Rosenthal said they'd take care of it. The insurance company of the idiot that hit me told me to take it to Cherner Lincoln Mercury at Tysons (across from Rosenthal Mazda). I don't know what to do. Any suggestions from NoVa folks? Thx.

Personally, I like Oldest to Newest in Rockville if that is not too far away for you.
They are one Southlawn drive near the intersection with Gude Dr.
I have had them do several bits of work for me over the years and they do a lot of show car painting, so they know a thing or two.

Thx for the reference Maniac. I will consider them. Gude Drive is a bit far for me though. I would rather stay closer to home. But I definitely want the work done right.

I highly recommend Performance Auto Body in Manassas on Euclid St.
They do a lot of custom work and have done a bunch of RX-7's through the years.
My "8" was hit about two months after I got it and they had it fixed and back to me in 4 days.
I can't recommend them enough.

I have used Precision Collision (an exit or two south of the Springfield mixing bowl) since 1994 on my RX-7. They are also a service first facility for several insurance companies, including State Farm. This often saves the extra trip to the insurance claims adjuster before you take it to the shop. Lifetime warranty on repairs.
They just repaired my RX-8 from the hit and run damage. Everyone that has seen it has approved :D
They stay very busy so no guarantee how quick they can fit you in. I waited almost a month.

Any ideas about going through the dealer? Either Rosenthal of Tysons (they use Rosenthal Body across Rt 7 on Spring Hill) or Rosenthal of Arlington (they use Rosenthal Body shop at Columbia Pike & S. Glebe) ??????

Brown's Mazda Alexandria (where we have our tech sessions) has a body shop on site. The body shop manager, Steve, has been in the biz 20+ years. And thanks to their test drive clientel, have repaired several RX-8s

Sorry, I hit submit reply too quick. I went to the Rosenthal body shop at S. Glebe & Columbia and I didn't like them. I waited a long time for an estimate, and no one was around to help. Then when I called back a few days later to find out if the guy had my part, he never even returned my calls. Brown's Nissan is on the other side of the same intersection.
