Our last driving event of the 2008 season.
Drive the newest track at Summit Point Motorsports Park, the Shenandoah Circuit, 2.2-mile, 20+ turn road course on Saturday and Sunday, November 1-2, 2008.
The Shenandoah Circuit is a technically challenging course, with significant elevation changes. Sporting a dimensional replica of Der Nurburgring Karousel banked turn at 20 degrees, this course also features challenging esses, significant camber changes, including negative camber incorporated with decreasing radius corners positioned on vertical drops.
The Shenandoah has features for beginners through advanced students and is a blast to drive. All at speed in a safe, controlled environment provide for a no-holds-barred technical challenge that will take years to master.
The Shenandoah is great for handling vehicles and three straights for you to open it up. See for yourself, photos at www.MazdaDriverS.com and track map at:

>>>>how is the karussel for lowered vehicles? will i bottom out at the drop in? i don't want to find out the hard way.
At speed there is a drop in, however, the vast majority with lowered suspensions seem to do fine. Summit Point did some smoothing to help out a while ago.
For the very few that rub, you can adjust the angle you drop in, driving to left more seem to lessen the drop or there is always around the back.
From past events, the Karussel is very appealing for participants and it has not been a problem.

1994 RX-7 leaving the Karussel up the twistys towards Corkscrew, notice the elevation change. Bill Scott, owner of Summit Point, is known in his later tracks for designing technical turns that are a blast to drive.

9 slots left. I anticipate 20% more track time for all over our traditional events.
