INFO: Track Days in New England Region
I wanted to start a central thread that will have information on all Track Days/HPDEs in or around the New England Region. Here is how this is going to work.
- This post will contain information on all track days I know about.
- I will edit this post as necessary with additional information. After an edit I will post at the end of the thread bumping it and letting you know there was an edit to the info. So, here we go. First, let me put up the websites of the different clubs and associations that I have run with or know about.
Clubs
The Sports Car Driving Association (SCDA)

Track Day at Le Circuit Tremblant August 13-14, 2005
This track day is being put on by the Boston Chapter of the BMWCCA (BMW Car Club of America). Mont Tremblant is considered by many to be the best track on this hemisphere. It was completely redone in 2001 and looks beautiful. There is still space available, however limited. The cost is $420 for members of the BMWCCA, and $460 for non members. The cost includes a dinner on Saturday night. More information is available on the website of the Boston BMWCCA Chapter.
Advanced Driving Skills Schools (ADSS)
These events are put on by both the White Mountain and Boston Chapters of the BMWCCA. The point of these schools is to teach you how to handle your car when it loses control. The venue is the front parking lot at NHIS with lots of water and cones on it. There is also a wet figure 8 course. Taking this class is a pre-requisite to doing a track day with the Boston Chapter of the BMWCCA. The cost is $45 in addition to the cost of the track day. If you just want to do this class and not the track day, it is $90 for non-members and $65 for members. Please visit the website of the BMWCCA chapter that is sponsoring the event for more information on registration and instructions on how to regsiter.
The Boston chapter is sponsoring these classes on August 6th, August 20th, and September 24th.
The White Mountain Chapter is sponsoring this class on October 22nd.
SCDA Track Days at NHIS August 29th, September 27th, October 17th 2005
This Track Day is being put on by the SCDA. This will give you a great chance to push you and your car to the limits. The SCDA runs a good show, I've run with them twice this year. This club hires professional flaggers and corner workers so you won't have to do any of that. Gates open at 7:30am on the day of the event. Everyone gets four 25 min sessions on the track. Classroom time depends on your run class. Novices have about 2-3 hours of class time. Intermediates and Advanced are around 1-2 hours of class time.
Ian Prout runs the SCDA and does a very good job.
The cost of SCDA events at NHIS is $235. If you want a garage bay in the paddock at the event, the cost is $25 extra. To register, please download this form, print it, fill it out, and mail it to this address along with a check for payment.

Boston BMWCCA Track Day at NHIS Sept 8th, 2005
This track day will be sponsored by the Boston Chapter of the BMWCCA. The cost is $165 for members, $205 for non members. The format of the day is a little different from the SCDA. Gates open at 7am, tech inspection from 7:30-8:30, drivers meeting 8:30-8:45. With BMWCCA events, all students will also have flagging responsibilities. This means you will be placed at a corner station and be responsible for watching the track and traffic and signing with the appropriate flags. You will have approximately 2-2.5 hours of flagging for the day.
As for track time, you get a little shy of 2 hours on the track, with about 2 hours of class time. The instructors are great. BMWCCA track events usually run 4 groups. Group 4 is novice and group 1 is advanced. This is important IF YOU HAVE NO PREVIOUS TRACK EXPERIENCE, YOU MUST ATTEND A BMWCCA ADSS. This is only a requirement for BMWCCA Track Days. Please see the ADSS section above for dates and cost. Please visit the Boston Chapter website for more information and registration instructions.
This takes us up through the end of Sept and into October. I will post information on late October and November events later. If anyone has questions about track days such as:
What should I bring? What should I expect? What should I do to my car?
Please PM me or email me at justin@justindotcom.com.

Just so everyone knows. I will most likely be attending the following events.
Advanced Skills School on August 20th, Boston BMWCCA Track Day on Sept 8.
I will possibly be at the SCDA day on Aug 29th.

I checked out MT, it says, "Registration closed 2 days ago, Tuesday, August 2, 2005." Too bad, plus the experience requirements are fairly tough 20 track days pre-req plus solo experience at two other tracks... ph well.
Nice idea RPIRX-8, BTW, having this info out here. Maybe I can come up w/more venues
Also don't forget Watkins Glen, that is an awesome track 3+ miles of pure driving bliss, just a tad far away in NY :D

Thanks Spin. I just added the Watkins Glen website under the Tracks section. I'll post info about a BMWCCA event there at the end of Sept.
Also, I'm looking for the website of the New England Corvette Club. I know they run track days as well. If anyone knows that site, let me know.

And unless it filled up early this week, there were still spots available as of Sunday. Contact the registrar for the Boston Chapter if you are interested.

...The Answer is: "Sorry the school is full." Maybe next year...

bump.
I added the website for the COM Sports Car Club. They are running a 2 day event at NHIS Sunday-Monday September 25th-26th. It is $30 to join the club (must be a member to run at their events), but the single track day is only $150 I believe if you go for a day only. If you go for both days its $280. I will be there on Sunday.
They are also running an event at Club Motorsports in NH. I believe this track is brand new so this will definitely be an event to go to. Hit their website for more information

I hope you have all seen this https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-racing-25/trackschedule-com-all-events-eastern-us-69143/ I've found some potential new car clubs that may allow us to attend their track events. Keep you informed what happens.
