Introduction
I thought I would introduce myself to all of you in the northeast. I just purchased a 2004 Midnight Blue 6spd. What an amazing car!!! I live in Elmira, NY and work in Owego, NY. For the rest of you not so local I live in the Southern Tier of NY 1 hour west of Binghamton. On to my first question..... I need to find a good dealer for service. I see that there is a dealer in Binghamton and one in Williamsport. Unless Williamsport is much better I will use Binghamton because I work 15 minutes away.
Thanks for the help

Hi UpstateNY - congrats on the new car.
I really didn't like the attitude of the service manager in Williamsport when I talked to him on the phone, but that was almost 1 year ago so it could all be different there.
I didn't like the Binghamton dealership personally because they made me a terrible offer on a dealer-demo RX-8 which had been driven by the owner's son (and the salesman didn't seem the least bit bothered that the owners son would be pounding away on a performance car before they sold it to some sap customer). 'Sonny-boy' had even spilled his mocha in the cupholder and no one had cleaned the residue. I banned them personally, but their service depertment may be just fine.
Vincent Mazda in East Rochester went from bad guys (widely know for a horrible service department) to good guys (new service manager) who gave me some great service, then back to bad guys (another new service manager and a heap of bad service to me).
I recently went to Ontario Mazda in Canadaigiua and was pretty happy with them, plus they send coupons in the mail and do free oil changes, but they're also in the wrong direction for you.
Personally, I recommend trying to get info about the place in Binghamton and using them since they're close to work for you. I hate how much trouble it is for me to shuttle my car back and forth to service centers 70+ miles away.

Corey's Mazda (the Binghamton dealer) have been a bunch of useless ***'es for over a decade. They're customer service sucks to the point where my Dad bought his last Mazda in Rochester even though Corey's is only 15 minutes away. I personally wouldn't take my 8 there even if they were the only dealer in the state. And I will never buy a car from them.
There's got to be another dealer a reasonable distance from you. Nobody out in Owego? How bout over the border in Sayre?
Just my $.02 but I don't recommend the Binghamton dealer (and my parents still live in town, so my info is pretty current)

Yeah ya should come down to Bear Mountain on Oct 8th. NYRA is holding our last meet of the year. Last meet at Bear Mtn we had 40 cars, last meet in NYC we had contained 69+ rotarys cars.
