Sorry I have been away folks...

Had a 10th anniversary event all week last week for work that I needed to plan and put on.

Also trying to plan the details around our trip to the Dragon next Thursday.

I will work on a hotel today and tomorrow around work.

Looks the group is awesome.

I have to say a HUGE thanks to Rick and Dana at Synaptic3 (who I will be seeing Thursday). This run is largely due to them! Awesome Job Rick!

Please if anyone has any more questions let us know.

I have new Rubber and Brakes to put on DRKSYDE this week before the Dragon. SHould be a blast! 2000 mi round trip.

Hey all!

I received 3 large boxes today when I got home...

Mazda of America!

I got the goody batch from Mazda... I will be bringing everything to the meet to give away. Rick, you and I should discuss how we want to do this.

Here is a preview of what I received:

The complete RX-7 and RX-8 books (hardcovers) by Jack Yamaguchi

Zoom Zoom Windshield Visors

Flashlights

Pens

Hats

Picnic Set

Model Mazda 6's (guess everyone needs a practical car... )

Thermos Set

Much More!!!

SPecial Thanks goes out to Kevin Lemire our Northern New England Mazda rep who helped make this happen.

Kevin is a former 8 owner but now has a Speed3 I believe. DISI Turbo Charged! I was trying to see if he could attend but I don't know if he will make it.

Thank you Kevin!

Looking forward to seeing all of you!

wow, Ian that is really great! i sincerely appreciate it. i tried to get MazdaSpeed/Mazda Motorsports to sponsor the event, and they said they 'didn't do stuff like that.' in other words, i dont have the right connections. ill have to start getting stuff like this set up earlier next year. I have been doing a lot of work with Pettit lately, and Synaptic3 is a distributor for them; i can give them a call and see if they can help out in anyway.

i am going to PM you my number and we can try to figure out how we want to set up the weekend.

thanks again.

Just another reminder for those that want to pick up a T-shirt at the cruise, i need to have your money for the shirt by April 15th, as the company requires 15 days to fulfill the order. Also, you get entered into a raffle for a free dyno run with every t-shirt you buy. Please email me if you want one. So far, I only have 2 t-shirts on my order list and they are both for me... is it that bad of a design ?

Bump!

Hey guys,

Still working on the overnight deals.... Having difficulty getting people to call my *** back!

Lots of hotels in Conway but they are pricey ($100+) looking for other options.

Found one in Bartlett.... 7.1 Miles from the Entrance to Hurricane Mtn. Road.

Good options for everyone I think.

http://www.attitashmtvillage.com/index.html

For those of you that want to bunk with others, there are condo options, this would keep costs low for all involved.

I am trying to call them for availability but they don't take calls after 8pm.

I will call again tomorrow to find out about this option.

I need to know who would be interested in the condo options...

Here is a Link to the Pricing. We fall under the "V" pricing due to the season we are in. Attitash Mountain Pricing

Please let me know ASAP! Thanks!

Rick,

Sign me up for 1 shirt. XL. I don't need it by the run since I know I am way *** late but I want a shot at the raffle.

Thanks!

I will call you tomorrow!

i think its a pretty basic shirt design, but i like it. if everyone agrees on the design i can get these printed.

here's how pricing will go: if i only make 1, it will be $25. if i make 5, it will be $24.40 each. if i make 25, it will be $21.40 each.

just to get a tally going, i will start it off. please note this list is if you can commit to buying one, not just if you like the shirt (compliments and criticism is welcome though.)

1. ZumspdRX-7: 2 Large t-shirts; Shirt total: 2

I would prefer PayPal for payment, so i dont mix my own money with the T-Shirt funds (im an accountant and i can handle it, but to avoid complications id rather keep it separate.) I can accept money orders and cashier checks if you don't have a PayPal account.

Please email me if you want to buy one (zumspdrx7@yahoo.com) as my PM box is almost full. please include:
Name, Screenname, Shirt Size, Quantity, Payment type, and if you want it shipped out (+$3.50 include address) or if you will be picking it up at the event.

I dont know about everyone else, but i am getting pretty excited about this meet. i drove my FD over 300 miles in 24 hours friday and saturday, and i cant wait to drive all over New Hampshire.

I apologize for the cluster of details right now. I will have them all worked out shortly.

Just got my audio "working". It gets distorted some going to YouTube, and clattering/clacking gets added for some reason.

1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx63bxdVns8
2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bGIm6YZH5o

And yeah, I am still 100% stock...even though the video doesn't sound like it

if it does, ill give Dana a call and set everything up. the cruise, unless there are any objections, will be the same (meeting time, place, and route.)

sorry about the delay and lack of communication.

Sounds good to me.

Mark: I'm just doing Saturday as well. My guess is that Mike (RIWWP) is still going, so we'll be heading out of RI and can work out somewhere to meet you.

Are you actually in Boston?

The 12th is the next SCCA auto-x at devens, so probably would take that over kanc, but nothing says I can't do the kanc on the 11th. Count me in still

all interested parties seem to be in for the saturday cruise only; with me included.

if we don't get anyone that can do the S3 BBQ, i might just cut this event down to the saturday cruise alone and schedule the S3 BBQ later in the summer or fall. any objections?

i'm going to be placing an order for a t-shirt for myself soon. anyone else want one?

T-Shirt order list:
1. Me (L)
2. Ian (XL)
3. Sergio & Shawna (2 M)

Cruise Interest List:
1. Rotary-Amuse/ZumSpdRX-7 (saturday only)
2. DRKSYDE
3. OtakuRX
4. HolyCross05 (saturday only)
5. DMC27 (saturday only)
6. RIWWP (saturday only)
7. Sergio & Shawna

I am going to be leaving for this cruise from the central Massachusetts area. if anyone wants to meet in Worcester, let me know. I don't know if it will add or cut time for the RI guys, but I can also meet right off of 146.

RIWWP- i might check that autocross out with you that Sunday. Not sure if i'll be racing.

Josh (altspace) has set up some great cruises in the past that have joined cars from many different forums. I am considering inviting miata and protege/MS5/MS6 (NEPOC) owners to this cruise. Ian said he had a lot of fun with the guys at the Lime Rock Corral and I had a great time with them all at Josh's Cape Cod cruise a couple years ago. I'll have to market it to them as a Kancamagus Mazda Run rather then Rotary Run.

It should bring in a bigger group with some more great people. what do you guys think?

RIWWP- yea autocrossing is a lot of fun. after i got on track, though, it lost a little bit of glimmer. its hard to compare 10+- minutes of racing over a 7+ hour day to 120+ miles of seat time. it's really great training though. my autocross background saved a porcupine's life. it was like a 40lb spiky pylon. are you using street tires or r-comps?

on a side note, i am always in Providence as my GF lives on wickenden. anyone from the area ever up for meeting up and going out?

NEPOC is always a solid invite. A great group of drivers.

I'm with ya, mountain roads > a few minutes of autocross, but I love what I am learning there. I am still totally stock, including street tires. Figure it's better to be faster without changes then be faster because I modded up some.....although that is my justification for not having any money to mod
