Hey fellow long islander's......got a question for you guys. I'm starting to get bored of my 8'd and I'm deciding whether or not I should try selling it or putting in a Greddy Turbo. Right now the odometer reads 128,XXX miles, but Mazda put in a new engine in 2005, so the engine should have around 15K miles 113,XXX give or take. I've heard of guys with high miles going FI, do you guys think its a good idea?

Also, any of you know a good shop in Nassau county where I could get a compression test done, and with good prices on turbo installs ? Thanks guys

Most performance shops do it as well. I called this place in Franklin Square called "Racing Results" and they want $80 per fender ($160 for both rears)....which sounded a bit too expensive, but there shop looks nice and I see they are always busy so they prob do good work.

Then there is this other spot in Queens (T & R Performance) I went to today and the best price he said he could for me was $50 per side, but I don't like the sound of his method. Supposedly at his shop they use a baseball bat to flatten out the fender lip while rolling the car back and forth......this to me sounds like the cheap way to do it although he guarenteed me that it he would do a great job. If Racing Results uses a legit Fender Roller tool I will prob get it done with them.

If you don't want to go to PA for a shop, I recommend IRP. I go there and a whole slew of people from around the nation ship their cars to them.

Hey, completely unrelated, but i read your whole thread on rx7club about your Spirit R replica, its amazing! I agree with some of the detractors by saying I dont know if I would have gone to such crazy lengths to replicated it, a nice U.S.-style FD works well for me, but since you did, congratulations and enjoy!!

Thanks man. I'm kind of OCD about my hobbies and toys so it was bound to happen. I should have known better haha. I really wish I could accept the praise but it really should go to the people who helped me source the parts and built the car. I appreciate it though and I'm glad that people think the car is interesting enough to form opinions on it good or bad! It's funny, I didn't mention the majority of the other stuff that was non-related to the Spirit R stuff at all. People would have thought I was nuts!

Hey eveyone ii got this from the370z.com fourm there is a weekly meet out in glen cove. The meet requires a $5 parking fee, and attracts some serious rides...Bridge Street, Glen Cove, NY i was there only once and there were a lot of sick cars a bunch of Z's some G's and there was a few lambo guys ect this thing is huge they close down like all of downtown Glen Cove for this thing it was at least 8 roads last time if any one want to go let me know I already have plans to go with some of the 370 guys were trying to think of some where to meet up. Ill keep every one posted on this if anyone wants to go
