It's all BS. I have found that in this very small community most people are genuinely interested in all kinds of cars. Most people don't start by running out and buying a Lamborghini or a Porsche. Maybe it's a Miata or a WRX and later on it turns into something else.
It's the diversity that makes the show different. For me the most interesting thing is that your passionate about what you drive.
Your invited to the show because I consider you to be a part of this "Northeast Region" automotive community. We are gathering for a "cause"-...The Make-a-Wish Foundation. You have an opportunity to lighten the load of a child and their family.
If you think I'm blowin' smoke up your as@ then you don't know me. It takes hundreds of hours to plan an event like this, it has become the biggest day of the year for me.
If your not willing to show because you think your not worthy, then your missing an increadable opportunity.
...and I thank you for your support.

Sounds like a good time. One of the perks of owning an RX-8 I enjoy is other car enthusiasts are more likely to chat (at least, far more likely to chat than when I drove an old grey Subaru wagon. Now PDA folks make u-turns to double-back and invite me to their track days - the RX-8 certainly appeals to most car enthusiasts.

At least I was honest and as un-bias as an 8 owner could be putting subjective numbers and statements of not just two but THREE different cars all possesing very similar characteristics.
But AGAIN as I stated several times. Its all opinion.
Thanks for the comment!

Haha...well I pretty much just ignore Sti_Eric's comments. He's very subaru biased. Personally for me, I respect the STI's horsepower, but it's looks are just to plastic for me and the exterior and interior looks like it was glued together. Considering that the STI is a rally car and the RX8 isn't, it's like comparing apples and oranges.

You guys are taking it too personally, I actually agree with the RX-8 not being an exotic and that's all. The comparison between the STI and 8 regarding interior or any shouldn't even be in this thread. I too do not like the bugeye or the later version of the STI (they are really ugly) but the aggressive stance can't be denied.

I'm not taking it personally, and that's exactly what i'm saying. The STI and RX8 can't be compared, they aren't even close to similar. <Sarcasm Starts> You might as well compare a Mack Truck to the RX8 too, while we are at it. I'm sure somebody will say "That Mack Truck has way more torque than the RX8! The RX8 SUCKS because it dosen't have the same torque as a Mack Truck! I'm going to buy an STI!" <Sarcasm Ends>

Momentum Keeps Me Going
We'd all* LOVE
to see some RX-7s show of any year and gen. With both 8s AND 7s in attendance we could have a bit more trophy competition, given that, as rotaries, we'd likely be in the same judging class. I say bring um on down!
The public in attendance votes for 'best show car' in each class with secret ballot you understand
, with 1st and 2nd place trophies awarded.
* Obviously so does Jeff because ---> http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.ph...ht=exotic+show

In the z group, they had old 240's, 280's, all gens of 300z and 350's in the same group.
but make them pretty, cause spin is looking for another trophy this year...again...
