What reason did you give her when she asked why it wasn't mounted on the front? I'm assuming that whatever reason you gave, she didn't care in the least.

hahaha! i've been in the same situation as all of these.
i had a state trooper follow me for nearly 5 miles once. i couldn't take it any longer so i pulled over to the side without him turning on his lights. he asked me why i pulled over and i simply replied "i know you're gonna pull me over eventually, so might as well just get it over with." he started to chuckle and replied, "i was just checking out your car man! my wife has an rx8 too!" then he let me know about not having the front tag on and his opinion on it. even he thought it wasn't necessary, especially if your car looks nice.

And believe me, I am amazing at talking my way out of tickets, but this woman was not having it. I told her I just got the front bumper put on and there are no mounting points (true btw) and I was told I could put the plate in my front window. Now a lot of cops will let you off if you have it prominently displayed in the front window... not this time. Those of you that have seen my car know its CLEARLY visible from the front of the car, so she just had a hate on for the car. My radar detector, heavy tint (rolled the windows down), catless exhaust (turned the car off) also make me a target, but I can't imagine its going to get better when I get a louder exhaust and the turbo.......

Btw, I finally found a mounting spot for my meth pump right next to the tank. I flipped the pump so it would fit, drilled holes through the firewall and mounted it on Saturday. I ran all the water lines, attached the flow valve and now the only thing I have left to do is the controller. I have the boost line ready and two of the electrical lines are unused (water level sensor) but I really freaking hate doing electrical work. I'm probably going to just ask PFS for a quote to run the controller lines and hook it up in my glovebox when they install the boost controller. I felt all pro installng the pump though, it doesn't look too shabby.
edit: Oh and I got shipping info on the wheels/tires! Next turbo install, then big brake kit........

Lol I just noticed you have Domo Kun listed in your mods... awesome. Brandi has a giant Domo in Hello Kitty panties she is strapping in to her 8 with the seatbelt... any cop that pulls her over is going to be too busy laughing to ticket her.

When are you going to have your car at PFS? Your car looks erily like mine and I am scheduled to be there for a Esmeril turbo install boost controller. gages, EDFC unit and ETC.. anyways I am going to have a new car built there July 7th. If you are in the area or still there I would love to do a photo meet. PM me and let me know. If not I bet I will see you around.

But when I get the car back I would be down with a photo meet. You should come to some of the MD meets, or one of the Tri-state rotary Sushi meets, we do tons of photos at those.

It does suck money like crazy. I don't even know what the total amount invested is going to be before I'm finished. I don't like doing things in half measures. I'm still working towards:
That doesn't even count any mods on the wife's RX-8.... bleh!
- Brembo 4-piston front BBK with matching rear rotors
- Borla cat-back exhaust
- KW Variant 3 adjustable coilovers
- SPEC clutch/BHR flywheel
- Knight Sports sideskirts
- Sparco seats with 4 pt harness
- Momo steering wheel
That doesn't even count any mods on the wife's RX-8.... bleh!

the DOMO KUN adds to the JDM factor, haha
seriously, modding cars is hell of an expensive addiction. i spend $24k on the car and probably the same amount (if not a little more) on top with mods. my car may not look like much up close, but i have been putting on and taking things off too.
aaron is definately going ***** deep with his car...but man, it's gonna be niiiiice.

I'm dropping it off in 1 week! (June 11th) They are installing the turbo, dyno tuning, and connecting my alky kit controller. I expect they are going to have the car 1-2 weeks. They said ~1 week, but I know things come up so I'm not counting on having it back for a bit. ![Frown](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

When I get done with the install I am going to do an entire inventory of mads done and post dyno charts. BLACKENEDWINGS: make sure that Ray gives you Dyno printout and let me know what he tunes you to. What kit are you installing anyway?

I'll definitely get the dyno printout when they are done with the car. I'm installing the 3071R "Satan's Hairdryer" upgrade for the GReddy. It's basically a custom kit using the GReddy manifold and piping. My main reason for going with the kit is the Cobb AccessPORT has been extensively tested with this kit, and provides a lot of protection for FI applications of the RX-8. Do you have the new Esmeril kit with the upgraded turbo and wastegate?

I cleaned, polished, and mounted my RPF1s yesterday... they are easily 30% lighter or more than the R1 Racing wheels I was running before despite the larger size. The tire compound makes a huge difference too, the handling is insanely good, but very noisy for street driving. The special brilliant coating is almost chrome looking but not cheesy. I'll post some pictures up tonight, but I'm very very happy with them.

Ok, the car is dropped off at PF Supercars! I stopped by today and dropped everything off and got a chance to meet everyone and see the shop. I have to say, really awesome people, very knowledgable and super friendly. I got an immediate positive vibe from everyone there. They had a lot of respect for RX-8s despite dealing mostly with FD RX-7s, and said they are getting a lot more RX-8s in there. There was a yellow GReddy turboed RX-8 parked behind a VeilSide RX-7. I talked to Ray about the tuning and the car is definitely in good hands. They begin work on Monday, so I'll give updates as I get them.
