So, how'd the crab bake go? I'm sorry I missed it, but wound up caravaning to a friend's house to do some FD stuff, then went to RXConvert22's house to do a compression test on his race car. For the little caravan, we had a red, a yellow, and a green FD; we were a rolling stop light.

Coming back, I hooked up with a Ti gray RX-8 on 695 with an offset front plate, a loud (but good) exhaust, and a gigantic black rear wing. I thought he was pulling a trailer when he first pulled up on me, the thing was so big. We cut through traffic pretty quick until I-95 when I went North and He went South. Anybody know him?

$2000 for suspension

I don't plan on AutoXing yet nor drag but I hate the soft ride of the rx8. I loved the stiff ride of the 350z plus I had tein type flex on that car but sold everything just for extra cash. I fell in love with the rx8 and bought one but need advice from fellow members on suspension but I'm using it for a daily driver but not worried about the stiffy ride since the car prior to this one was simply way stiffer but did not handle as well as the rx8 does. I was looking for the tein type flex but did not see anything about the EDFC coming with it and costing $1600. Maybe I'm not paying attention enough. Seemed like you guys had a good time too.

your right my friend had a Z with just sways on it and it was 10 times stiffer than my car is now,,,
The Tein Flex's should cost about $1200 and the EDFC you have to buy seperately it cost about $380 I think,,,

Talking Suspension/ race pipe

Yeah, that 350z was a good car but not as fun as my 8 although it is automatic. Quick question, would anyone know if the Racing Beat Catalytic Converter Replacement Pipe is the racing pipe that will connect to the HKS single sided HI-POWER exhaust. Just wondering because I'm looking for a race pipe and I'm about ready to buy this one tonight along with my coilovers.

Cool, just checking. By the way, how are your track days coming. Idk if you go very often but do you always find time to be able to tune/dyno the car for certain track days. I probably won't start for a while atleast until I feel very comfortable with the car.

I didnt have any problem with fit for the HKS exhaust.. and it was being bolted to a mazsport 3" race pipe..

Most exhaust systems are built for oem fit, unless specified..

Yah, I learned that the hard way. I have a TurboXS resonated midpipe sitting in my garage because I didn't know that. It's real pretty. I got it on sale....

Was going to redrill holes in the flange so it would mount to the stock muffler, but didn't get around to it. Anybody want to buy it?

I was actually about to buy the turbo xs exhaust with the race pipe but then I heard the HKS with the RB Test pipe.

Yeah, quite a few people have said that. I just wanted to make sure that the Racing beat race pipe would fit if I decide to buy it.

Tire issues

I'm about to buy some P-45R Rota. Don't know what size tire to get:

Wheel Style - Rota P45R
Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 18"
Wheel Width (Inches) - 9.5"
PCD Bolt Pattern - 5X114.3
Offset - 30mm
Hub Bore - 73mm

I don't know if my fenders will have to be rolled yet.
Smae size all the way around for rims. Don't know about tires yet.

you may get away with that offset

depending the size of the tire you are going to use. now if for any reasoon they rub you can either change the alignment or simply roll your fenders.

but id stay with a 35mm offset, width wouldn't be a problem

im running 19X9.5 with a 40offset and 245 35 19

hope that helps

that's a nice fitment. i run 255/35R18 all around with my 18x9.5 +38 without any problems. so a +30, you might have to roll the rears depending on your suspension setup.

I just installed my midpipe last night. Yours should be a breeze since it's so new.

She ordered the Racing Beat catback and is keeping the stock cat so it should be, as you said, a breeze.

She got the single. I was curious to see how the quad tip would look as well, but she didn't like the look on the pics.
