wasn't me! the car has been getting worked on in an effort to get to 300 whp. however, there's been many a Greddy turbo breaking down, judging from the posts on the forum. not good, even tho i've had no probs after the Interceptor-X EMS install. may go with another turbo system in the spring, if it's available.

for Shane, is your CEL pretty much always on? mine is. though i haven't received my notice yet, i'm wondering how to get around the emissions check. maybe i'll tow the car there...! lol.

dd sends...

Anyone know where/if I can get my hands on the Kenstyle exhaust short going to Japan? I'm not sure how keen I am on the front of their kit, but the rear is just plain sexy. I'm just not sure how nice it would look without the shiny quad exhaust. Seeing as how my rear bumper had some bad luck on new years, it looks like I'm on the market for a new one.

Also, do we have any plans on setting up a meet at any point?

Happy New Year, all.

Just wanted to let MD people around the Columbia/Ellicott City area know about a great windy road. It's called New Cut Road and it's amazing to drive down. It's not too windy and not too straight so you get a good mix of good corners with good straights to get up some speed. It's also got even pavement and a nice tree canopy (in spring and summer) to make it feel even more narrow and fun. To find it go 100N and get off exit 2 onto 104N. Turn left on 103W and make your second right onto New Cut Road. It'll take you right into Historic Ellicott City. It's slightly downhill in this direction so I recommend starting from 103.

If anyone hits up this road shoot me a PM.

Yeah man, Howard County cops are out of control. They are everywhere. The record number of people I've seen pulled over on my drive to work (~12 mile drive) is 8. That's just stupid. I saw 4 people pulled over (all separate instances) when I went to and from a grocery store that is 1 mile away. It's just not right.

I'm actually moving away, but I thought I'd pass on the info about New Cut Road. I hear it's getting more heavily trafficked because of a new development. As long as no one's in front of you, it's a blast.

Who's got the Yellow RX-8 in Olney that's always parked up in front of the Blockbuster/Chicken Out strip mall? Also, someone has a Black 8 3 blocks away from me, it looks like it's maintained well so I figured they might be on here. It's located just off Buehler Road in Olney.

You forgot to mention one thing about New Cut Road...i've heard many people have died driving on that road but of course they weren't driving an 8 so just letting people know DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Hi guys. Have any of you done any mods to your cars? I'm just wondering because I've been thinking about it, but I wanted to see some of these in person to know which parts I want. Does anybody have the rp short shifter? And what kind of exhausts do you guys have?

I just bought the RP Short Shifter yesterday. It will be my first mod and I will probably install it early next week when it comes in. I'd be curios to have someone else drive my car and tell me if crappy shifting I feel from 1st to 2nd is just me or is it my car (I'm pretty sure it's just me, cuz all the other shifts are fine). Btw, I have a white rx8 and commute up 270N to work from silver spring.

I'm live in Annapolis, MD, driving a silver rx8. For the next few months, I'm working near Bowie, but I usually work closer to BWI.
