but speaking of that, does anyone else know about these car meets? This huge group of people meet up every Friday/Sunday, its always the same guys and the cars are always nice. There's always 20+ cars so I figured it was kind of a widely-known thing in the bel air/towson/baltimore area. They meet up in Bel Air near Harford Mall most of the time, but we ended up all the way down at the Wal Mart on 40 last time...
I went to one a month or two back when it was like 20 degrees out so I never went back, I was gonna start going when it warmed up, I'm not sure if I'm a fan of that crowd though.

Apparently when the weather is nice there are as many as 40 cars there with almost all of them being imports.

But yeah if obnoxious revving annoys you then this definitely might not be your crowd. It is mostly all young guys like myself that want to go fast with each other. But a lot of the guys there are very conservative and don't really care for any of that so I would say it works out for both parties

Dude yeah, I was right there. It was pretty messed up lol. Front left corner got completely destroyed, the guy said it was more than 6k in damages... luckily his supercharger was fine because he said he never told the insurance co about it. I got some crappy pictures of it too.

and haha yeah, that's my buddy Carl with the genesis. It picks up...

Hey Baltimore people - can anyone recommend a good wheel repair shop around town? I just picked up a set of SSR D5Rs from another member and I want to get some scratches polished out of the lip.

Thanks!

Which genesis does carl have the red or yellow one? I've talked to both people who own those but I can't remember which one was him

Carl's got the yellow one. To the red one you are referring to, does it have a single-exit Greddy exhaust with a greddy sticker on the rear bumper? That's the only red genesis I've seen around bel air and it sounds nasty

Also can anyone tell me what happens when you receive multiple tickets for not having a front tag? I've never gotten a ticket for that, but an officer pulled up to me while I was pumping gas and told me that he wrote my tags down and said he is giving me one week to mount a tag. I was like "OK sir" but I simply refuse to run a front tag; it just isn't going to happen.

So chances are he's going to eventually find me and give me a ticket, and I'll pay it and move on but I would like to know if there are any repercussions for having like three tickets for not having a front tag? The cop was actually a real nice guy and I almost feel bad for not listening but seriously I am not drilling holes into my bumper.

Thanks Greg. I see they start pricing at $125, but that's for an entire wheel. The paint on the spokes are fine - it's just the lips that need attention. Maybe I'll take one of them down to Bruce and see what he can do for me.

I haven't been up to one of those meets in a while, since i lost my Tiburon...I've seen those 2 Gen's b4 one came up to my shop and got some work done before. that's kinda fuked up what happened to the Vette but funny at the same time.

There was a meet on this side of rt40 at a home depot last night, a Talon and a yellow Vette lined up on 70 and surprisingly the Talon busted the Vettes *** even gave the Vette one length and just walked him done, The pot was 3k. crazy but interesting to watch.

Hey new to MD here, just got a RX8 for my daily driver. Longtime FD driver here but I try not to put her on the road more than once a week these days. I decided to go ahead and get a 8 after driving my friends, its no rocket but it still makes ya smile. Anyways just figured I would introduce myself (Black '08 GT) Aberdeen area.

Hey there, welcome! I'm usually traveling between Bel Air and White Marsh, so maybe we'll eventually see each other on the road.

I can't make a lot of the meets around here because I work Saturdays, but hopefully we can get one organized for a Sunday sometime soon. I'm putting on new wheels in the Spring (bought from another forum member) and I hope to have my new Metra dash kit and HU installed by summer. Oh and I'm thinking of putting some KEI Office eyelids on as well! Oh and then a BHR midpipe. Geez it never ends. Should be a fun spring and summer with the 8!

Congrats on your new ride!

Not much for me this weekend, but next weekend on the 27th, I'm participating in the WDCR-SCCA Solo Practice autocross at Fed Ex Field.

http://www.wdcr-scca.org/SoloAutocro...6/Default.aspx

Any autocrossers out there? This will be my first with my 2010 RX-8 GT.
