Bah don't put it in a convertable! FC is a great car, but if you put all that power in that car, your hair will constantly be standing on end!

My thought is that the convertible, being the heaviest of the FCs, could use the extra power to get out of its own way.

Welcome to Injector and Lady Shinka!

Injector, if you really want a twin-turbo 20B FC convertible, I think George Samuels still has his RXX-7 (that is not a typo) for sale. He's done all the hard work and had it for a number of years.

As for doing it yourself, here's what he has to say:
"I can't, in good conscience, recommend this path to anyone. It's a lot of money, time and effort. The results are marvelous, but it's way past the level of insanity that is the norm even for this group."
His current daily driver is a 390 WHP 1979 RX-7...

RX-8 Sale

Hey all,
I have to sell my RX-8 because the military is sending me overseas and I cannot financially justify making the car payment while I'm gone. Any suggestions on sites or people to help market the car?

It's an Aurora Blue Mica 2010 RX-8 R-3 (also referred to as an RX-8 R-tuned) with 20k miles, 6-spd manual, Bilstein shock absorbers, Recaro racing seats... well-kept, in great running condition... I have no problems with the car, just need to sell it within the next 6-7 months.

Heya Jay... not too much here. I think I may still have a coolant leak somewhere, because I'm still smelling anti-freeze after getting out of the car. Plus the level seems to be a little lower since I last filled it.

I contacted Samco before Christmas about that one hose that wouldn't fit, and they asked me to send more info about it. They were closing for the Holidays, so I didn't get to it. But I've been meaning to contact them.

Just an idea check around the fans. if you see any white staining or anything then that would be normal, thats over flow from the reservoir, (boil over). also looked in to our service manuals here it is possible to change that small hose in the front without removing the bumper but the easiest way is to remove loosen the bumper to gain full access to it.

Hey all,

Although I did not participate that much in this forum, it was great meeting some of you our there. I am sad to depart from the RX8 family. I just got a 2011 Sedan Subaru WRX. It is a different ride, but it is still a fun drive. However, I will def miss the Rx8 handling and the 9K redline.. Attached is a pic of my car.... I'll still hang around here just to check what's going on from time to time....

Well all laters..

If you cant find someone on here to buy it i would head to carmax. I got a great/fair price on my last car and they beat most car dealerships prices.
