No worries, I figured you had somewhere to be. Thanks again for coaching me through those first couple of runs. I was definitely dropping seconds every run and getting more comfortable. I feel like it would have only taken me a few more to get in with the majority of the group. I plan on going to Bowie in 2 weeks and then to Winchester the next two times, so hopefully those runs will be what it takes! I think I'm hooked!

On the times on the CDC site what do the "Smallbore" and "Smallbore Points" fields mean?

Smallbore is for cars with 1.6 liters and under, we don't fit in though since by SAE convention, we are reciprocating engine equivalent to a 2.6 liter 4-cylinder. I think they allow 12A equipped first-gen rx7s but only because they're so weak!

It's my understanding they had the smallbore series to keep the monstrous cobras from mopping the floor with everyone else. Speaking of which, I'm surprised there weren't any out that day usually there are 3 or 4 of them.

Oh I also meant to ask how hard is it to bleed the clutch? I'm pretty sure I need to do mine as well.

Dropping the car off in the morning to have the rack replaced!

You should not be too hard to spot.

This is how mine stands at the moment before the exhaust and springs are installed.

I'm only in the frederick area for autocross, I live just south of bel air and commute to Catonsville, so that's where I could be spotted.

I saw on the roster we have three rx8s signed up for tomorrow I'm so used to being the only one! Looking forward to this one as I haven't been in awhile, look forward to seeing some of you there.
I just moved to Catonsville.

Sweet a shinka! You going to autox that thing or what

Clutch bleed is a five minute job, search for the DIY it's pretty straightforward.

Well I just dropped it off... I'll know by 2pm if it's fixed or not...

I have a couple more images from the event... Sorry Nate I didn't get any decent shots of you, you were going too damn fast and they all came out blurry

Hey everyone.

In anticipation for some life altering events, I'm selling my 2004 MT GT. As the odometer will attest, I do not get to drive the car as often as I would like. I live too close to work to get to warm it up. I basically drive it enough to keep it healthy and make sure it can still redline.

Here's the link to the FS thread.

https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8s-sale-w...tained-246186/

The car is tight as a drum, and apart from the loud as hell stereo, it's a blank canvas and completely stock.

I'm only asking $7,750 because carmax offered that much to me. If you know anyone who's interested then please let me know. I would rather an enthusiast get the car than some 16 year old noobie.

What are you having triplets? that's gonna be a handful!!

But if its two kids or less you should be fine, I make do with the 8 as the family runabout.

Unless you mean you're going to prison or maybe coming out of the closet and buying a hummer....hmmm, life altering events is pretty vague

Another autocross on Sunday the 16th in Winchester, it's out near summit point so I may swing by for some fast karting afterward. I'll be swapping cars with my buddy Alex, he's got an FR-S with a smattering of basic bolt ons and a set of direzza z2 under it. Can't wait!

Just signed up for this weekend's event. Let's hope I can make it down there without getting sidetracked by the short circuiting Audi again!

Awesome, looking forward to it, also there's another event with Autocrossers Inc in Waldorf on the 29th of June. they set up huge higher speed courses where you can really open it up.

Ill be at Winchester near there on Sunday for autocross, but I'm trying to get in on the hyperfest karting enduro Saturday night, if I can secure a place on a team for that than ill be at hyperfest throughout the day on Saturday as well. I've got a bunch of friends fielding a LeMons team that day! It'll be awesome, I hope my karting plans pan out and make it worth the trip.

Come to the Autocrossers Inc. event in Waldorf on Saturday the 29th, there's plenty of slots left and their courses are very high speed, it'd be something of a baptism by fire but man it'll be a blast too. It's 65$ for 8 runs 4 morning and 4 afternoon. a very good time, I'd be happy to introduce you to the friends I've made going there and you'll be very welcome.

Either way there are plenty of capital driving club events left this year, I'm sure you could make at least one, that I think is the best place to cut your teeth autocrossing, you can ride along a lot with others and its more fun and less srsbznz

Let me know if you'd like details or anything, I check this site every day or so.

Sure, that sounds like the only way to do it. Waldorf is not far at all. I believe I have a fairly open day that day on the 29th. I thought all RX8 driving was seriousbusiness??? Sure, open for details. Seems a shame to have such a great handling platform now, and not make the most of it.
