I've got an appropriate amount of free play based on the adjustment criteria of the Factory workshop manual, it just doesn't disengage the clutch until it's nearly to the floor, as far as I know that isn't adjustable from the pedal pushrod. I've fully bled the system with all new fluid. Still engages low.

Shimming the throwout lever wasn't my first choice but rather what I'm resorting to with other things not working. But I'm not going to be a stubborn idiot about it, I'm totally open to trying a meaningful suggestion that I haven't tried yet

My buddy will ordered some tires and they're back ordered, I had an extra set he could use until then, this may be some sort of sacrilege but this is one bad looking Elantra

Much like the elusive and majestic RX-8, I hibernate in the winter...

I've taken up playing Warhammer 40k to keep my out of trouble until racing season starts up again...

Good times.

Great news!! Was worried for a bit.

Side note, while Jay has my P5, I am finding myself researching sway bars for the RX8. Who has made the leap, and which models did you choose?

I'm currently running A/P front and rear adjustable sway bars, very noticeable difference in handling. I love'em, I was running matching front end links but the joints wear to quickly for DD, I took them off until I'm r Eady for tracking.

Side note- I will/should be all done with the P5 on Saturday.

Incidentally, I seem to remember some Warhammer 40k figurines on top of Nate's fridge last time I was there... Must be a rotary thing.

Glad you're still alive Jon!

In the grim dark of the far future... there is only war.

Also yes, I am alive and was thinking of having another BBQ in the spring when the season starts up. I don't really have any idea of the dates as CDC hasn't finalized their calendar yet, but are you guys interested?

I started to get into it, but as a total novice with just me and my son, I've never had the opportunity to play with someone who knows the game really well and I think maybe I don't do it right so it's sort of fallen by the wayside

Btw I don't know how I meant to type 'car' in my earlier post and it came out 'at'

Well if you ever feel like playing a game (official rules, house rules... whatever) let me know. My final winder project is building 3x 6x4' tables that can be combined to make one 6x12' table in the attic lol.

I actually just read it as car and didn't even notice it said at.

Definitely in for the BBQ.

Likewise for WH40k if my budget improves in the near future like it should. I've randomly painted some figurines over the years (less than a squad) but never played.

Damn winter is terrible! I drove my car for the first time in almost a week (you still win Jon) today and it was NOT happy (surging idle to 3k when I first cold started it)! Can it just be summer already?

Well if you ever want to come along to a game or something you are welcome to. There is a pretty good 40k following in Frederick and Brainstorm has games downtown Saturday/Sundays. I have a decent size Chaos Space Marines army. And Jessica just got me a Chaos Reaver Titan So I'm pretty excited about that.

Yeah I pulled my car out yesterday, and it also was sitting in excess of a week... Did same surging thing for a second and then once I backed out of the garage there was a nice puddle of fluid under the car... so I'm trying to figure it out in the 5 degree weather or what ever it is. Touch it and I can't tell if it's just fluid or some kind of lubricant, but I can't feel it because my hands are numb... try to smell it and can't smell anything because my nose doesn't work.. I love the winter.

Anyways after a little hunting it turns out my driver side rear strut blew out, so I guess it's time for an upgraded suspension

Jon, I've got a brand new OEM replacement bilstein strut for the rear that I have no use for. I'd let it go cheap. I also have a full stock suspension setup. I know the bilstein replacements were like 180 new.

I'm guessing by bolstering, you meant bilstein. Haha and I only have 1, brand new. And then I have the factory springs and struts.

Hello everyone, I'd like to say hey and tell everyone that I'm kinda new to having an RX8 and I'm from Baltimore County, but I'm currently stationed in Guam T_T. I'm glad to see there are plenty of other owners that are relatively close to my home. Looking forward to seeing whats going here and back home :D

Hey guys soon as the weather breaks I'm going to have another rotary engine service like last year. But if anyone wants one sooner let me know so we can plan it out.
