Zoom-Zoom BOOM!
I'm happy to help, and if anyone is interested, I am fabricating my own set of custom coilovers out of very high quality components for about the cost of the PSS9's
I intend to have them fabbed, dyno'ed, assembled, and installed for the WDCR-SCCA autocross in June. I'm hoping to do well enough on them to justify a start up business making coilovers.
If anyone is interested I can make you a set and tailor the characteristics of the coilover to your needs, most notably custom valving for your dampers. I'd heavily discount anyone who guinea pigs for me while i'm in the teething stages.
I'll post my progress on that in the coming weeks.
Let me know if youre interested ;-)

i kinda wanna take out a loan...
also i'll be free to help with struts. iirc doing coilovers the fronts were a pita to get out, rears were pretty easy imo.
Just posted on here under the NE Rx-8 Forum section for a Crab meet. look for "Baltimore Crab Rotary Meet""

Thanks JT. I forgot about VP. They fixed a car for me a few years ago. Very good work. Turns out a friend at work has a roller. If he doesn't show up with it tomorrow I'll give VP A call.

Tease it in
Nvm I've fixed the problem. Il help with the install. Never done it before but gotta start somewhere right? I'd also help with the coilovers but I've got quite fat tires on and there isn't much room to go up and down.

Your coilover project sounds great. I'm pretty set on the PSS9s for now, but I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Sh00bs, were you referring to my coilover install? If so, that would be great! Let me know, and if you'd still like to help out, I can PM you and Nathan with any details.

Good Balto Co. body shop needed
You still represented the RX-8 community proudly Nathan! Great job. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hey guys, I'm looking for a reliable body shop in Baltimore, Harford or surrounding counties that does quality work. In the past I've taken the 8 to the local BMW/Porsche shop for insurance work, but they're too expensive for out-of-pocket work. Right now I need my front bumper refinished, and possibly the hood. The last independent shop I used painted my sideskirts, and now the paint is lifting off of them. So, any suggestions for shops with proven track records would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A call to my Maryland peeps for help. I am in need of a complete set of oem coilovers, the top hats springs, the whole thing front and rear. For research and development on my custom coilover set, I will return them to you as soon as I'm done they will only be used for test figments and stuff until I can get something ready to be installed on my car.
They don't need to be assembled but if they are that is dandy. I will reward whoever offers theirs up with priority and heavy discount if you'd like me to make you a set of coilovers too. Or whatever we can work some other deal if you'd like something else or if you just want to help cause you can that's awesome too!
Ask your buddies too, someone must have a set laying about.
Message me here or on my facebook page, thanks everyone!

so as it turns out there is a 60-90 day wait period on the Tein springs because they dont stock them, in the meantime i picked up some Racing Beat lowering springs for a song to throw on the bilsteins for the time being. The Bilsteins will be a bit overdamped out of the box but until the dyno is assembled im just going to use them as is. I know it's not going to be the most competitive setup but it should be more fun than stock. I'm already only about 1.5 seconds of the top STX step typically and with a completely stock car, so even this modest bump from the RB/bilstein combo should be something. I'm pretty stoked about eventually getting the stiffer springs in and getting the dampers dialed in :-)
I have all my parts for the shock dyno but my load cell isnt reading right so im investigating that, it might need to be returned. I think I'm going to experiment with revalving the bilsteins to match the setup with the RB springs for the meantime once i have a dependable load cell.

I took 4th in STX on my new suspension, the car felt absolutely amazing out there and i felt like on my quick run i didnt leave much on the table. Guys who used to beat me by a second and a half were now a second behind me, so a big big improvement from the car. And this isnt even the end of it! after i get the springs, shocks revalved and corner blancing done it'll be even more dialed in.
SCCA WDCR SOLO Championship Event #1
I was glad to see Aaron out there on his impressively fat Toyos! I'll have to see if i can negotiate a co-drive in that beast! Tires that fat need to be warmed up! :-)
I'll post up a you tube video of my third fastest run, which is all ive got, i ran the battery flat in the gopro today between my second and third run :-/
