How do you get the portugese tags in front? Did you ship your car over, or is it registered here and you just put the portugese plate in front for nostalgia/decoration? Just curious in general as they seem to make us put plates on both sides of the car in MD. I don't know if they give tickets or whatever but I want to avoid putting anything in front there if I can.

You've piqued my curiosity! I live in Ellicott City and just bought a brand spankin' new RX-8. Although I don't think I would do anything for at least a year or so, the thought of a supercharger is quite intrigueing. You work part time at Pettit, but travel to Ellicott City sometimes?

hmm ok, then I won't be too worried to leave nothing in the front on mine. Way to go for showing the pride. European license plates look pretty cool too.

^Depends on how much you're willing to pay. I would recommend the Mazdaspeed because it comes painted, and it fits perfectly. it also looks nice. all you need to worry about is getting it on. go with trussville when buying this kit. they have the cheapest price and keep you updated. they're front bumpers go around 1200-1300 and their sideskirts are about 730. their rear should be around that price. PM them.

So... I was driving to work this morning and the cold air reminded me of the past. Last year around this time, I began my search for my RX-8. About 3 months later I found it March 4th of 2007. Do you guys know what this means?
Deals Gap Rotary Rally is right around the corner and it is SOOOOO time to start preparing!!!
I am looking to start getting more involved with the people around here and trying to find some other 8s to gather for the caravan to Deals Gap. This may be 4 or so months away, but I feel it is very well worth starting to prepare now.
::: way too excited...::

Congrats on your new 8. I was driving my new-to-me RX-8 to work this morning myself, trying not to double the speed limit...
I just picked it up Saturday, though I agreed to buy it during the Summer. 2005 base with 14k miles. No nav, no power seats, no TSC/DSC, no sunroof, no Bose. Should be a lightweight. Can't wait to get it on the track next Spring. Might have to go down to VIR in February if I can't wait until March for Summit Point!
I live in just Northwest of Bel Air, so I'm a long way from Laplata. But there do seem to be a lot of 8s and 7s scattered all over Maryland.

I've got a couple of RX-7's too. Had one out at the Lowe's Friday night show a month or two ago. Handful of FDs in the area. Only seen one FB. Seen a few FE's around Bel Air proper, mostly Silver or Titanium.
Any opinion on Heritage Mazda in Bel Air? They did the MSI for me. $90/hour service rate. I have three warranty issues I want fixed, and don't want them to eff it up. My only other nearby choice is Nationwide Mazda in Lutherville.

I haven't had any work done there. I used to go to Cooks in Aberdeen but I am not a fan of them at all.
I have a Black 05, which sucks, cause I have seen 2 other Black RX-8's in town on a regular basis.
I need to add some extras
