Yup! I'm already on this... I plan to have them replace it with a nice shiny new cat first before I decide if I even need a high flow. The only reason I am even planning to replace the stock one is going FI and I don't think the stock cat will survive.

That was no slip. I own many Harbor Fright tools, and using them is often scary.

Then get the new cat and then replace it with a straight pipe. There isn't much point to a cat once you go FI. Whatever programmer you use can take care of the CEL, and a straight pipe will be more logical with boost. They are much cheaper too. Bought my (yet to be installed) shiny stainless midpipe unused off an RX-8 race team for $100.

Unfortunately I cannot use a straight pipe due to the legal issues. I would love to use one, but the closest option I have is a high-flow cat.

yeah ya do, you can use a straight pipe as long as you find a way to get rid of your CEL and any other codes when you go to emissions....

It's not an issue of successfully hiding it, I have an AccessPORT so that isn't a problem, its the fact that regardless of how well I hide it, its a federal offense. Where I work takes that sort of thing very seriously, even for something stupid like a smog regulation. Plus, as long as the high-flow cat won't melt my car, I don't really care about the couple of extra whp I would gain especially since I'm past my muscle car days of smelling gas fumes and liking it.

Of course it's me... I was going to wear that shirt to the meet but I didn't think it was appropriate

And no, I wasn't wearing a grey sweatshirt. I was wearing a black Sema T-shirt... but I totally agree on there being driving involved. I definitely would have had more fun then.
