Yeah, I disabled the audio for now. Have to get the mic placement figured out. The mics are so insanely sensitive that they can pick up my laptop's hard drive spinning. I left the DVR running while I went into the store the other day, with audio, and when I hit my FOB to unlock the doors, what it recorded sounded like someone dropping a refrigerator off the roof onto the mic.
You can hear the engine, but there is so much other noise flooding the system, it makes it painful to listen to, and YouTube can't handle it either, and just slowly turns it all into electronic noise.
Here is a video with audio, as an example. Might want to be ready to turn down/off the sound. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I'll get it figured out before the Kanc run. I am also gonna try out a lens that isn't such a wide angle, since it makes turns deceptively mild. The right turn onto the highway in this link is actually ~120 degree turn that is nearly hitting the steering lock point.

Ouch. Sucks to see an 8 all banged up. And I agree with Josh. Once over a certain age, you need to take a driver's exam like once a year. Especially the damn eye test.

Good to know u are ok. Like altspace said, old drivers are just as dangerous as newbies/inexperienced drivers or even worse. I try to give them as much space as possible if I see one. Update us on what happens.

Did you get the old excuse "but I need to drive to get to the doctor" from the old fogey?
Some old guy backed into my car 2 mos after I first got my license. I was parked and sitting in the car with the engine running, right behind his car. Backed up at .00000001 MPH, seriously, it took 5 minutes. When he got within 6 inches of my car, I was convinced he was gonna stop, but he didn't. When he made contact, I hit the horn, he punched the gas, and lifted my car 4inches off the ground and put it into park. So now I can't even get out of the car from the driver's side. Whole time he begged me not to report it, because of the above excuse. I reported him, he lost his license. RMV was pissed at him because he could not see behind him, and he backed up anyway.
I say make people pass an exam at retirement age, but it should be a defensive driving skills exam. Random things popping out in front of them and see how they react.
Fortunately, if insurance does total it, there's great deals on 8's right now, used or new.

Just from what I see on the outside, I highly doubt they'll total it. My bro has been in auto repair like this for over 30 years. You should see the recent truck he fixed with the completed frame off. Cost was around 20K for repair and it took over a month to complete.
