loose wire connection for the power steering, simple fix. i got it back just now.
they were asking me to just drive without power steering until friday, i contacted mazda North American operations and said i was fine with that as long as they understood that if i even hit a curb because of it i was going to sue them in the face
it was 5 start treatment after that

Hi everyone, I am a new owner and new to the site. It is a rare occasion to spot an RX8 of any color around the worcester area. I spotted a VR8 on 495 south and was following him right through worcester on 290 when I had to get off at 146. Within the week you should be seeing my VR8. Can't wait, see eveyone out there...

Ya you'll be seeing me pretty soon too. I go to school out in Worcester, gettin my masters in ME. Im buyin my RX-8 at Mazda Galery in Norwood, I hear they're really good out there and I've used their service department, impeccable service. I'm wondering, though, if anyone can tell me a good place to get work done to upgrade the stock model and what kind of mods I can make
As far as performance modifications, hands down head up to Synaptic3 in Candia, NH. Dana, Aaron, and Ron know their stuff on rotaries hands down. They are the only Pettit certified dealer in the US right now I believe. They just did my Tein monoflex suspension with customer EDFC installation (pic below). In a week or so they will be doing turbo with custom heat shielding, intake, radiator, custom oil cooler setup, and much more.

Ya, Wakefield's a bit of a trek for me. I found a great place out on route 1; Mazda Gallery. I talked to a couple friends and looked them up and I hear great things. So ill try them first. But thanks for the advice. As far as the performance mods, thanks a ton, man. This is really going to help. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is Pettit? Im still really getting into cars, I havent been into it that long.

All I ask is if you buy from them rape them hard in the sales price. Whatever you wanna pay take off a additional 1.5k atleast just for me ok
Oh btw I might be frequenting the Natick Area soon, got a job offer might take it sorry had to post it somewhere hehe.

I've been seeing a lot more 8's recently. Mostly people who totally ignore me when I drive up next to them and wave haha.

If I see a VR when I'm out and about in the area, I'll be sure to wave! Are you around the Highland Ave. area much? I'm out in Natick every now and then at the guitar center there.

If you're talking about Sentry West Mazda (the only Mazda dealership on Rt 9 in Shrewsbury I think...) then I would recommend them. I've been taking my 8 there since I bought it (about 7 months ago) and they've definitely been nice to me. I have no complaints. The only comment I would make is that you need to be aware of what Mazda recommends for your service intervals because they do recommend performing some items earlier than Mazda. Whether or not you wanted to perform those tasks early would be your decision.

In the highlands RIGHT on Rt 9. I'm really not around much unless I drive to my 2nd job at the Y, or to the Stop and Shop in Watertown.

Ahh, that makes sense. I just took my 8 out of storage about a month ago and only drive it on weekends more or less. In 2 weeks she'll (her name is Rexie) be going in for a turbo, gauges, oil cooler, radiator, accusump setup, so I'll be scootin around in my Speed3 for awhile. Maybe I'll see you around on RT 9, you'll hear me coming way before I get there

I am down for getting together nearby! Jeff and I figured it's not worth planning any trips far from home for the rest of the year since planning the wedding has taken over our lives and is eating any free time we have.

This week I've spotted twice a white RX-8 going the opposite direction on Rt. 38, around 12:45 p.m. This was somewhere in Medford. I was headed towards Woburn in my titanium gray 8. Not sure if the driver/owner frequents this board.
I usually play tennis in Brookline (next to the Baker School) or in Newton (on Walnut St) on weekends. I drive through the Kenmore Square area, Comm Ave, Beacon Street, Rt. 9, West Roxbury/Brookline pretty often. I'll keep an eye out for other RX-8's. I'm sure I'll run into some of you guys sooner or later.
