Oh the crazy BMW guy, he was a brave man. During the second session, he was flying in the pouring rain. He was running through puddles and stuff, I didn't have the guts to do it on my baldi. I will post some videos of him if you want. He was definitely the fastest car in the rain, but he had no chance once it dried up. There were a lot of "instructors" that should have their status looked at. Heck, I need to review mine, I almost got totalled myself.

Yes, the same RX-7 spun out in both 2nd and 3rd session of Sunday, on the first lap!!!! I did pass a grey RX-8 in the last last session, was that yours? There were so many of them, couldn't tell the diference. Also the one with the blue one, you might want to check on your camber. From what I can see from behind, you have way too much camber.
I am uploading videos now, but youtube is very slow.

Oh cool, I actually made a video with your car in it. I was going to send it to David for the next instructor training. You guys were great, you let me pass as soon as I came up. There were people that would hold me up for more than two passing zones, that's when i get super pissed.

David, only 5/8 of your tire was actually touching the pavement when you turn. I can stick a cat underneath and you would clear it. I am far from having 20/20 vision, but I can see that easily from a long distance behind.
You were running what, -2.5 camber?

I'll have to look up the actual settings (the alignment was done a while ago just after my last track day last season) but as I recall, the rears aren't set to more than -1.5 (but I'll check it out). Now that I think about it, my reasons for adding the extra camber were observations on narrower street tires, and this was the first event running on a much wider wheel/tire (235 on 8.5" vs. 265 on 9.5"). Perhaps the extra width is somewhat exagerating the negative camber? This is definitely something I'm just starting to work out, so I have no illusions of having it correct. Thanks for your input.

The rears werent that bad, but hte fronts were the ones that had all thbe camber.
If you want to know tire wear, look at my tire. I think I killed my tire in just 8 sessions, son of a #$%^&*.

Tire death in 8 sessions is NOT fun... I'm praying that this set will last 1 season (~4-5 events), but not nessisarily banking on it. This last event was fairly gentle on them, but I attribute that to all the wetness keeping the angry monsters of heat and friction down.

Oh i see, I thought you have a lowered car or something. It must have been the aftermarket wheels. I just saw a lot of camber, back that off a little bit and you will be okay. You were one of the quicker RX-8s anyway, so dont feel like youhave to do something. My car is still 99.9% stock, so dont just go out and mod.
