So the reigning champ has left the building!

This will be my first autox so I doubt that I'll be taking your place.

We are looking for Mazdas to be in our enthusiast tent on the Sat and Sun that REV IT UP is in your area (you do not have to do both days...one or the other is fine). Your show car will be there from 6:30 am to 6. Any owner displaying their car for a day will get a comp pass for one day at Rev It Up. The tent can hold only 3 cars and we want one rotary (RX 7 or 8), one Miata and one Protege (or 3) or a 6 as well....so please let me know soon if you would like to display your car.

Also while you are at Rev it Up come by the enthusiasts tent . You are welcome to bring information about your local club as well.

You can meet the folks from Mazdasport Magazine and from Driving Sports Magazine....and share your story ides!

If you want to include your car as a show car please email me direct at
miatabb@aol.com

If my car looked a little more unique I'd definitely think about displaying my car. I think it would be fun to have your car parked in a place where it would get some recognition.

At one of the events there will be a pristine RX 8 in the tent next to a Miata with 208,000 miles on it (NO Kidding!). So it is not how tricked out your car is..it is because, as enthusiasts, we are a special breed. The tent is for enthusiasts and it is being sponsored by Mazda, Mazdasport Mag and Driving Sports Mag. Local clubs are invited to come and hang out there with each other and pass on club info to newbies. You will meet Sarah from Mazdasport (AKA Surf Goddess...really she is a model in another car magazine NO NOT THAT kind of model). She is a car nut, races and will help you guys get a fast pass for the ride and drive line (if you get out of bed early enough!)....Mazdasport will work with the regional rep from the Mazda advisory council and local clubs to get the word out and we are asking Mazda to allow us club corrals in the parking area (not inside because you would not be able to come and go once parked). Don't think we will get the food thing through as it is independant vendors in every location (on some tracks or bases you must use their caterers and they are gosh awful expensive)...better to gather and pack your own sodas and stuff and then convoy on out to a local watering hole. I wish I could be at all locations but you folks will love Sarah. Plus I need a host family in each city who would consider picking her up on Friday at the airport and housing her (driving her to REV IT UP). At 21 we are concerned for her safety staying at strange hotels all over so I thought friends from the local clubs would pitch in. Barb

Hey folks,

I registered back in January for the May 22 Rev It Event. I'm in competition group 7 with an 8:45 am check-in. Not really sure what this whole thing is about, but it sounds like a good time.

Cheers,
Oranje

Cool, I'll add you to the list.

Are you interested in joining us on Sunday for the cruise around the Cape?

Thanks for invite Speed. I'm not certain I can maintain a tranquil domestic existence if I use up two weekend days "eightin".

I'll let you know if things change.

Cheers,

Yeah, I hear you there. That's why my significant other will be tagging along. She wants to make sure that I don't get myself into too much trouble. :p

Another reason to come to Mazda RevItUP!!

Mazda is handing out $250 certificates at the event which you can use on purchase or lease of a new/unused 2004 or 2005 Mazda. This is a cash incentive that can be used with other incentive probrams/rebates.

The offer is transferable but the ORIGINAL certificate must be presented and turned in at time of purchase.

Apparently this program was in effect for last year's event, too. The certificate was probably in the goody bag they handed out for doing the survey.

Thanks to Brown's Mazda for alerting me to this incentive program.

I'll be in group 23 on Saturday 5/22. Am going with a ZX5 SVT owner, MCS owner, and a few other friends. See you guys there.

I just purchased my RX8 today. I knew about the $250 coupons and thought about grabbing one off Ebay, but I decided I didn't want to wait.

hey guys, just a bump/update

It has been a whlie but this is still on!

Im starting to get info together now for finding a hotel and a schedule/route for the cruise on Sunday. I was out on the cape today gettin the lay of the land a little bit and im excited already!

I am also in the process of trying to get in touch with some event organizers from RIU to try to coordinate our big meet with their "Mazda Enthusiast" tent/display.

Further events to be posted as they warrant, and keep signing up

Thanks for the update. Let us know when you pick out a hotel, as I'd like to reserve a room some time soon.

K guys, I went out on the cape today, figured out some hotel/motel plans and have a pretty solid plan for the cruise itself.

I have updated the following thread with hotel information. (easiest to have one source of the info so I dont forget to update it in one place)

http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showt...7&page=1&pp=15

Basically we are looking to stay at a couple small mom and pop motels right on the cape cod canal. We will drive down there after RevItUp and then spend the night hangin out and doin whatever it we feel like =D

You need ot make reservations asap because its coming up quick, and also there is a fishing derby in town that weekend so the very limited quantity of rooms at these places might fill up quick.

hit me up on AIM: slug420
if you have any questions/concerns/input or anything of that nature.

Sorry I've been so incognito guys, too much IT paratroopin

I'll def be there for both events. I do have to drive back up to Boston for a function on Sat night. Just as long as I know where to meet you guys on Sunday for the Cape Cruise, I'm good.

I'll make sure to have the B&B and K&N singing beautifully for the ride
