MD - First Speeding Ticket in RX-8...
And it was a doosy. 25 miles over the speed limit (I think I may have gotten a break though since I was doing almost 80 in a 50)
I should have known better though. Cops are always patrol Route 1 between Perry Hall and Kingsville (a nice stretch with no lights and two lanes each side) Goes through Gunpowder State Park.
FYI, its 150 + 2pts. If I go to court in Balt County, I will probably have bad luck and get the BIATCH traffic judge who will not cut you any slack if you even had a single ticket ten years ago.
Well, I wonder how many more. There are times I am driving and don't realize how fast I am going in the RX-8. Kinda wished it had a normal speedometer (usually I would be checking it with my peripheral vision and have a decent idea of speed). Also, in my Mustang, engine noise also told me how fast I was going. No such thing in the VERY quiet RX-8.
The car screams to be driven fast but alas I will need to be more cautious.

My first ticket
I feel ya; I made it 2 months before I got my first ticket. 94 in a 70-OUCH. To top it off, I didn't have my new insurance cards and my car wasn't inspected yet! I got a big fine and God knows how many points. Haven't paid it yet, waiting on the arrest warrent, LOL. My brother had a ticket that sat in the courthouse 7 years before they sent him a notice, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The second time I got pulled over was 2 weeks later- 64 in a 45. But the trooper let me go. I think it's because I was crying and showed some cleavage. It's great being a woman

My first ticket i was going 110mph, and i said if i ever get a ticket it better be a good one. Cop searched the outside of my car 3 times and the fine was $ 525. Went to court and the cop never showed up. Got off scott free, so with that money i bought the Racing Beat Exhaust system.

hey.. from getting loads of tickets for speeding.. i say go to court.. pled guilty and let the cop state what he gotta state.. if you dont have any moving violations in the past year.. they will more than likely drop it.. I just got my first camera picture taken in DC.. there was a camera on the side of the road and caught me doing 16miles over the speed limit.. i whish i could take that to court but they got a pic of me.. so i gotta pay it.. :-(..
