Mont Tremblant Driver Saftey School Oct 1/2

MODS: PLEASE STICKY!!
Come Join the Northeast Chapter of the Audi Club of North America
http://www.neqclub.org is hosting a

Mont Tremblant ACNA National Driver Safety School
at Le Circuit at Mont Tremblant 10/1 and 10/2 (Sat/Sun)

Looking for one SPECTACULAR WAY to end your RX-8 HPDE driving school experience for the season? So was I! This could be just your ticket! I had wanted to go north of the border to this track for some time...now there is an opportunity. [Pls note: I have no affilliation w/this event other than attending. Any information shown here is provided soley for your entertainment and I do not speak for any of the organizers, nor guarantee its accuracy.]

Space is still available, as I received an email today and was told that non-Audi drivers may participate by joining the club as 'associate members' when filling out the web-form here http://www.tspark.com/NEQ/regform.cf...6D568CB53600B1 for $44 added to registration fee. Complete location and track infor can be found by exploring the links below. Cost for two days track is $360.

For anyone that enjoys track events, the experience of driving this track would have to rank up there with the best available in North America!

TRACK DESCRIPTION (refer to track map)

The 15-turn "long course" is 2.65 miles in length and is characterized by dramatic elevation changes and fast, sweeping corners. Several of these corners crest blind brows, resulting in intimidating blind-apex high speed turns that require the driver to commit to the corner well before the apex is visible. As a driver's circuit, Mont Tremblant ranks among the very best of all North American road courses.

Le Circuit was completely rebuilt during 2000-2001. The new track follows the layout of the old course but is wider and smoother, with large runoff areas, FIA-style curbs, and two chicanes. Banking has been removed from some corners. The track surface has been widened from 28 feet to 36 feet, and the new pit straight is 42 feet wide.

Quote from Cass Whitehead Racing:

"No one quite knew what to expect for the first major race at Mont Tremblant in many years. All that I can say is WOW !!! what a great race track. The setting is spectacular - in the mountains at the foot of a beautiful ski resort. The track is a classic grand prix type of road course, it has everything - fast turns, slow tight turns, medium and long straights, and amazing elevation changes. The turn 1,2,3,4 complex is one of the most challenging in the world (it takes real faith in your abilities for turn 1 and 2)."

Beyond driving, the area is a major tourist attraction with activities and senery without compare! There are over 100 hotels, motels, condos, and bed & breakfast units in the region, so lodging is plentiful. Also, Mont-Tremblant Resort, an alpine-style village right at the foot of the mountain, is a nearby facility. Visitors can enjoy and savor French or international cuisine in more than 100 restaurants surrounding the track.

I don't want to "me too" this, but the title jumped out at my while I was scrolling past.
I just came back from a Boston Chapter BMW Club event and Mont Tremblant this past weekend.

WOW. The track is spectacular, the scenery is incredible, it is in the heart of resort country so there is lots to see and do and places to stay and eat.

Definately one of the best venues available.
