NE NJ local meets on Tuesday nights
#3053
I am pretty sure I will be busy getting crap out of my apartment on tuesday so I prob wont be there.
I am not sure if we are going to be able to do the whole car **** thing on wednesday either. Apparently someone took their psycho pills this weekend and I might have to go get a new couch this week.

lol thats rough....party over the weekend?
So I get off the phone w/the insurance company seems (from what they say) that thigns are gonna go smoothly. Then Kenny calls me and tells me the adjuster send him the quote. Two totally differant number.s Lets say if I dont get the original number...there is going to be issues. Kenny says that if I get jerked we may have to put in for a supplemental to the quote which turns out to be more paper work and a pain int he *****. WTF do we even pay insurance companies for if they are going to cheat us? Yet if we don't pay them they are quick to **** w/you...just straight BS. So I have to wait to see what the insurance check looks liek thsi week when i get it....there's a chance I won't make Rotor Ram...sighs...

Ay, I delved deep into the intake thing.. and all I can say is any aftermarket CAI will do *nothing* for this car.. other then sound and asthetics. The factory airbox is damn good and is sufficient for my application. Which may include nitrous in the next few weeks.. I ain't saying. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The search for a stock airbox and k&n air filter, commences.. possibly have one tomorrow!

Hmm the stock airbox is a really good unit but there are a few gains at the upper end of the powerband with the revi (even more so with the RB flash). Another benefit is a smoother idle. I might get one actually ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If you want the best bang for your buck with NA power (except for the loud midpipe), get the RB flash (heck it will lower your water temps a ton at the same time). If you want another good mod, go for springs / sways.

I'm currently planning to invest into the Mazsport Cooling Mod to help with water temps and I have also looked at the revi, but it's damn pricy.

I'm interested in a dyno but only at a meet where other 8s will dyno too... then I'll have a good benchmark
If not, then it's just numbers that vary depending on condition, the dyno used, and other stuff anyway.
You should get the cooling mod now since it's summer in the city.
