I've done a hi-flo cat in a parking before. Hardest part is cracking the flange bolts loose (note - some are studs) and getting the O2 sensor out.
Bring a set of wratchets w/ sockets/deep sockets You might need some wrenches if your sockets aren't deep enough to reach the nuts on the studs. The studs are pressed into the flanges and won't turn.
A crappy towel in case the pipes are hot and you need to grab it
A phillips head screw driver to jam into the pipe hanger
Some dish detergent to lube said hanger
An O2 wratchet socket
Maybe a breaker bar for the O2 socket if it's really seized in
Jack
Jack Stands
Does the new pipe have an O2 bung? Do you put anti-seize on O2 sensors? I don't remember.
It's basically unclip the O2 sensor. If you can get to the bolts with the car on the ground, crack them loose. Jack the car onto stands and unbolt the flanges and cross brace. Slide the hanger off. Pull the O2 sensor out of the old pipe. Install it in the new pipe. Put on the car and do up the flange bolts. Then put the hanger on and the cross brace. Plug in the O2 sensor and drop the car.

That's not even funny. Not. Even. Funny.
Oh okay. I was there yesterday and saw it with the bumpers off. I thought you meant there was progress. I knew it was primed and stuff.
I guess fitment wasn't too bad. Kenny didn't call. lol.

so far the news that I have is the alternator is fried. It has been rushed ordered to be in surgery by Monday and they will continue to figureout what the hell is wrong w/y 8....
Driving a base Mazda 3 A/T....nice car bu i ave to drive it in triptronic mode it is so totally differant than the 8...but at least they gave me a decent color the bright blue they offer and I get extra HP out of it due to the "Complementry Wayne Mazda Loaner" sticker accross the entire rear bumper...lol

I had a base mazda 3 loaner for a day and I hated it. It had cloth seats, an AT, and it was maroon. Additionally, it was not my 8 so that may have had something to do with it.
I couldn't pick up my car today. It's assembled, driving, and tuned but when they connected up the fuel pump, it wasn't holding correct fuel pressure. The regulator wasn't letting the pressure build correctly. Jim has it running with another regulator on it and wants to make sure with the kit manufacturer that the substitution is acceptable and/or what may have been wrong with the original regulator.
